been feeling the soreness & fatigue from racing back to back lately, very much in need of some TLC

always feel good coming back to Good Juju and having Brex work his magic, very reassuring knowing I’m in good hands especially when I’m constantly asking so much from my body

my first ever half marathon but tbh haven’t been training properly because of the haze. So at this point I just hope I can finish it without cramping! 😮‍💨

Every person who trusts us with their goals deserves practitioners who never stop learning.

That’s a responsibility we don’t take lightly.

The way we support performance today isn’t the same as it was a year ago.

And that’s intentional.

As our understanding evolves, so should the way we assess, guide and support the people who place their trust in us.

This week, our coaches and physiotherapists stepped onto the track — not to coach others, but to become the participants.

Today, we completed a 6-minute Maximum Aerobic Speed (MAS) assessment.

Not because every person needs this exact test.

But because we believe the best practitioners never stop learning.

Every opportunity to learn helps us make better decisions.

Every assessment deepens our understanding.

Every insight shapes our thinking.

Every decision influences someone’s progress.

Whether we’re prescribing training, guiding a return from injury, or helping someone take on their first race, those decisions matter.

That’s why we continue to invest in learning. Not to collect more qualifications, but to better serve the people who trust us with their performance and goals.

Better practitioners make better decisions.

Better decisions build better partnerships.

Better partnerships create better outcomes.

And that’s the standard we hold ourselves to.

So really getting better just isn’t an option.

2026 EPC RECAP

It took me quite some time to settle down and reflect on everything from prep day to meet day.

Prep was going well until I injured my low back (back spasm) just 6 days before the competition. 🤣 I was literally warming up with a very light weight… then popppppp. 😮‍💨

After that, I couldn’t even bend properly. 🤣🤣🤣

Long story short, I genuinely tot I might have to pull out of the competition. But somehow, managed to get through the meet without making the injury worse and still walked away with a few small PRs. Tbh, it almost felt like the meet rehabbed me. 😬

Those “small” wins meant a lot to me. 😆

S: 165kg (Meet PR +5kg)
B: 122.5kg (Meet PR +2.5kg)
D: 190kg (Meet PR +0kg)
Total: 477.5kg (Meet PR +7.5kg)

A huge thank you to my coach @kelvinyhp , who kept calm down me with“Mai Kan Jiong.” 😂 somehow magically adjusted my training loads so I could stay healthy while retaining as much strength as possible.

And a big thank you to my physio @physiobrex , who gave me the best treatment and kept reminding me that I’m not that old yet. 😂

Bonus credit to @mobilitywithjo , who told me “You have to teach your mind to trust your body again.” And that was the first time I did Cat-Cows to fatigue. 😆

Thank you to all my friends and the @mamba.fitnesskl members for cheering me on. Really appreciate it ❤️

Lastly, thanks to @eagll.powerlifting and @powerliftingmalaysia for putting together such an amazing event. 🙌

Still a mountain to climb.

To the next one. ☝🏻

injury prevention isn’t about avoiding the load, it’s about getting better at distributing it.

Brex explains how fatigue quietly shifts stress between your joints and throws off your coordination, and why sharpening that brain-to-body connection is what keeps you running well, not just running more. ✔️

foam rolling and manual trigger point release can help you feel better but they’re not the main drivers of long-term change. Brex explains how the bigger levers still come down to resistance training, proper load management, and movement re-training. ✔️
