ADMIN WORK ✅📚

A day off when you run your own business isn’t always a day off! 😂

Sometimes it’s about catching up on the behind-the-scenes work that helps you deliver the best possible service to your clients.

For me, a typical day off looks like:

🏋️ Training & keeping on top of my own fitness

🌳 Getting outside for some fresh air

📋 Updating rehabilitation programmes

📲 Client check-ins & managing bookings

📈 Tracking clinic performance & business development

🧠 Planning future 1-to-1 rehabilitation sessions

One thing I’ve learnt from running my own clinic is that the work doesn’t stop when the appointments finish.

There’s always something to improve, learn or plan for. But that’s also part of what makes building your own business so rewarding.

Who else is still doing homework as an adult? 😂📚

Drop a comment below with what your ‘homework’ looks like and how you stay motivated to get it done! 👇

🏉 TOUGH DAY AT THE OFFICE | STOURBRIDGE PANTHERS 🐆

🏉 Stourbridge Panthers 5–65 Clee Hill

Not every match goes your way, and this was certainly one of those days for the Panthers.

Facing a well-drilled, organised and physical Clee Hill side, the Panthers battled through a challenging 80 minutes. Despite the scoreline, the commitment and determination to keep going until the final whistle never disappeared. 💪

🩺 From a pitchside Sports Therapist’s perspective, it was another busy day managing the physical demands of rugby.

🚑 Today’s injury concerns included:

🔹 Lower back injuries – assessing pain, mobility and functional capacity.

🔹 Ankle injuries – evaluating joint stability, pain and the ability to continue safely.

🔹 Finger injuries – assessing potential ligament and joint involvement following contact.

Working pitchside isn’t just about treating injuries. It’s about making quick clinical decisions, managing player welfare and ensuring that the desire to keep playing never comes before safety.

💭 The scoreboard tells one story, but it doesn’t tell the whole story.

Difficult matches test resilience, both physically and mentally. Every performance provides opportunities to learn, recover and come back stronger.

🏉 On to the next one!

Why do I use massage cream instead of oil?

Preference!

I find it allows my hands to glide smoothly over your skin while still giving me the grip and control I need to work on specific areas.
It’s great for sports massage and leaves your skin feeling smooth without that overly oily finish.

I remember my university lecturer using this stuff on me to strip my shin splints (if you know, you know 🥲) back in 2014, and this stuff constantly sells out, so you bet I bulk bought!

Great evening down at @oldhamfightacademy helping the lads prepare for @elitecombatchampionship this weekend 📈

Class to work with so many amateur MMA athletes who have been putting in the hard work ahead of fight night.

Wishing all the lads the best of luck this weekend. Hopefully all the hours, hard work and sweat in the gym pay off when they step into the cage 👊

BIG NEWS COMING 👀

More information to follow soon, but @forgeinjuryperformance will be running a pop-up clinic at the event this weekend at @rollercity_rochdale

Massive thanks to @samsmalleymma our first sponsored OFA athlete, for supporting Forge from day one and helping us get connected with @jayirvv 🤝

This partnership with Oldham Fight Academy is only just getting started. Plenty more to come from us both! 📈

Finally, cheers to all the lads who came over and gave us a try with a free 15-minute treatment session this evening. Really appreciate the support!

AND CAN AI…
~ get over excited when a client tells you they’ve managed their first pain free run in months!
~ notice the hesitation in someone’s movement before they’ve even told you where it hurts!
~ recognise when someone needs reassurance just as much as they need treatment!
𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗷𝘂𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 ~ 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿

don’t get me wrong, ai has its place in healthcare but if you’ve consulted dr chatgpt, followed all the advice & your injury is still injuring, perhaps it’s time to give us human pros a shout!

🏝️ A few of the further activities completed so far as part of our Level 5 Sports and Clinical Therapy diploma (part 2) delivery in Barbados 🇧🇧 👌.

Monday evening we finished Myofascial Dry Cupping, and started Dry Needling, which we’ll
expand on tonight with wider treatment to the lower limb 🦵 👍.

Whilst I’m in Barbados our course tutor Katie is looking forward to delivering our 3 day Rehabilitation for Sport and Exercise short course this weekend 👌

This November, Katie will be back in Liverpool delivering our MLD course and we have a range of courses running in Swindon too 😁
