Online learning can be a valuable first step, but the real opportunity for clubs is connecting that education to quality in-person coaching 👏

Digital resources like @pickleball360 can help players understand the fundamentals before stepping onto the court, allowing coaches to spend more time developing their game. At JDC, that pathway continues inside the facility through @racketpro.rpo Certification, helping clubs equip their coaching staff with a consistent standard for instruction and player development.

The goal isn’t online versus in-person coaching. It’s creating a stronger connection between the two, giving facilities the tools to offer players a more complete learning experience from their first introduction to continued development.

Stop ignoring the foundation of your game! 🎾

Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting to find your rhythm, your game is only as strong as your feet. I often talk about my “crawl, walk, run” philosophy—it’s not just about hitting the perfect shot; it’s about mastering the mechanics that put you in the right position to hit it in the first place.

If you want to level up, stop focusing solely on your paddle and start focusing on your movement. Here are the 5 essentials I emphasize with all my students to maintain control and speed on the court:

1. 👣Split Step Before Every Shot: Stay light on your toes to react faster.
2. 👣Slide Sideways, Never Cross: Keep your balance and total control.
3. 👣Creep at the Kitchen: Use small, controlled steps to dominate the line.
4. 🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♂️Turn & Sprint for Lobs: Never backpedal—get your eyes back on the ball fast.
5. 🧘🏽Recover to Ready: Always reset, because the point isn’t over until the ball stops.

Great play starts from the ground up. Let’s get to work! 💡💪🏽

Flick vs. Roll in pickleball — know the difference 👀

In this Pickleball 360 lesson, @benjohns_pb breaks down how to recognize, execute, and master two volleys — the flick and the roll.
