What an honor to be in a room filled with our Pasifika people, learning from one another & sharing stories about the importance of our mental health. I left feeling inspired by our collective passion & commitment to serving our people. 🫶🏽

It is with great privilege that I have the ability to work in the healing field. It is an even greater privilege to be a Pasifika woman. It is when these two worlds collide that I feel my cup has runneth over!

Today, I had the honor to attend and present at the Pasifika Mental Health Conference. My Pasifika sister, friend, and colleague, Noa Tia & myself presented on Racial Imposter Syndrome. The presentation was well-received and so many persons in the space added great value to the experience through TALANOA.

In addition to this, I was able to leave the space with new tools, insight, knowledge, and connection that I had not had prior to attending. The conference committee did their job on this conference cause the skill building & healing that happened in that room today was beautiful! #Pasifika #MentalHealth #Healing

Pacific wellbeing resources matter! 💯📚❤️
A huge thank you to Terisa Tagicakibau from @mhfnz for her beautiful review of our Pasifika Wellbeing Journals.

We created these resources to help our tamaiti and Pacific peoples pause, reflect and heal along their life journeys in a safe space. Why? Because it has and will always be more than books for us at Mila’s Books.
