Semester 5 was filled with fun with friends!

I had a fun time with friends attending the Chamber Strings concert last night, which was the very first time I had been to one during my time at Slippery Rock University. I don't really have a favorite song from this performance because I genuinely like all of them, but the video of the duet with @nataliemillermusic is probably my favorite moment 🎻

We had an incredible week of Popular Music Pedagogy at @slipperyrockuniversity

We learned how to play instruments, formed bands, covered songs, wrote originals, discussed gear, explored technology, and discovered entry points through general music activities!

We ate frog legs and had a jam session at @northcountrybrewpub and a final exam gig at Caffaro’s Pizza!

Thanks to @iteachmusic34 for joining us. I always learn so much from him when we teach together… See you in 2026!

A huge thank you to all the amazing people in my life that have carried me through this semester. My love for each and every one of you is infinite and you’ve all done at least something to help me move forward both as a person and educator.

I only get 20 per post, so there are definitely people I missed, but I love you all.

Most of all, thank you @rachel_kroner for making my life so full of wonder, surprises, and love. You mean the the world and more to me.❤️

Making new connections, performing such meaningful music, teaching the best kids, learning everything there is to know about conducting (there’s so much more to learn!)
