Feeling inspired to keep the content rolling so here’s my Seattle round up! Pike Place Chowder is a Seattle staple and I really enjoyed it! It was certainly expensive but a nice treat. The clam chowder is excellent and the lobster/crab rolls are very good too (though next time I’d get the crab). Mac and cheese also sneaky good I somehow had never been to Din Tai Fung but managed to sneak in a lunch trip. It was great! I’ve definitely had better versions of many of the things I got but it’s a fun experience and everything is solid. The pork xiao long bao are definitely a highlight and the cucumber salad (which was eaten too fast for me to photograph) Hot and sour soup from DTF was good too! A sneaky DTF favorite was this mango shaved ice for dessert. So fresh and not too heavy but so delicious Stumbled upon Cannolo after dinner one night and it was a perfect dessert! They have a bunch of different cannoli flavors and I got 3 minis: espresso, Nutella and pistachio and they were great! Piroshky Piroshky came highly recommended and it was a great stop at Pike Market. I got the cinnamon cardamom braid and it was warm and had small pieces of candied orange and nuts. It was so good Also stumbled upon some meat sticks at Pike Market which had to be sampled Barolo was a great Italian restaurant with an even better happy hour. I got this carbonara which was delicious with a very healthy glass of sparkling wine and it was $30 after tax/tip which felt like a steal Also finally made it to Salt & Straw! They have some real funky flavors (as a blue cheese lover I sadly can’t recommend the blue cheese ice cream). I did love the strawberry balsamic and brownie batter combo

Over a fortnight from August 30 to September 12, @loganannabp and I drove corner-to-corner across the continental United States, on the strict diagonal from Northwest to Southeast. We visited 15 states, the first being Washington. From the Peace Arch at the border on down, it was great to explore the Evergreen State.🏔️🌲☕️🌄 #washington #roadtrip The Pike Place Public Market in Seattle is where you buy great fresh fish. The Alaskan salmon run means the markets are full and delicious. 🍣 🐟 The Gum Wall in Post Alley. I made a contribution. 😁 At the Pike Place Fish Market, they throw prime salmon around all day. I ate some halibut cheeks. I love eating the cheeks! This is the boundary marker at the very edge of the United States. The Peace Arch State Park is on the border and is open to visitors from the United States and Canada, who can mingle on the grounds freely without inspection. Needless to say, I stood on the line but refused to cross it. 🇺🇸🇨🇦 We prefer the United States. One day, the border will cease to be international and the Manifest Destiny will be complete, when all provinces join the United States and Québec becomes independent. As a citizen of Canada, I believe this is its destiny. 🇺🇸⚜️ I am blessed with old friends all across America, especially those from @thedoonschoolofficial. Nehansh Saxena and Rohan Singh were both in Hyderabad House with me. I’ve known them for nearly 15 years and, when in Seattle, always enjoy their company. The Washington State Capitol in Olympia. I seek to visit every state capitol and get a stamp (known as a “cancellation”) in my State Capitols Passport. The civic buildings of every state are great. 🏛️ The Washington State House of Representatives, under renovation. The Washington State Senate, also under renovation. The governor’s State Reception Room, with an 1893 Moldenhauer Blüthner grand piano. It is a prized possession. Logan plays the Moldenhauer Blüthner grand piano. The Washington State Capitol Rotunda. Mount Rainer National Park, with the mountain in the background. The sunset glow. Mount Rainer is visible from Seattle and overwhelms up close. I seek a kiss at every scenic spot.
