55 vs 30… guess who wobbled more? 👀 Week 2 of 52 💪

Mom 55 🤍 Daughter 30
Every week for a year, I'm copying one of my daughter's reformer moves from @pilates.with.hope. Same machine, same flow, 25 years apart.

This week's reformer flow was ALL about balance… and my body definitely noticed.

✨ WHY PILATES WORKS #2: BALANCE ✨
Balance is one of the first things we lose with age, and one of the most important to keep. A 2022 study in the British Journal of Sports Medicine found that adults over 50 who couldn't stand on one leg for 10 seconds had a significantly higher risk of dying over the following decade.

The reformer trains balance from the inside out:
→ A moving carriage makes your core work to keep you steady
→ It strengthens the deep stabilizing muscles around your hips and ankles
→ Slow, controlled movement sharpens your body awareness

Good balance means fewer falls, more confidence, and more years doing what you love.

🦩 YOUR TURN: stand on one leg for 10 seconds right now. Then switch sides.
Comment 🦩 if you made it, and 😂 if you wobbled like me.

Follow along for 50 more weeks of mom vs. daughter 👯‍♀️

**Your ankle had other plans for the season. 🦶⚽**

Every player knows the feeling: you're sidelined, counting days, wondering if you'll be back before the season's gone.

Here's what a lot of people don't realize: **recovery is part of training.** The work between games counts as much as the work on the field.

That's why this setup is part of my recovery stack 👇

⚡ **PEMF (Swiss Bionic iMRS Prime):** gentle 0–30 Hz frequencies that support your cells' natural recovery
🔥 Built-in infrared warmth while you lie back and switch off
⏱️ About 8 minutes. No pills, no shortcuts.

Pre-game boost or post-game recovery, it works both ways.

Train hard. Recover like it's your job. 💪

👉 Comment **"PULSE"** and I'll send you the details

Same move. 25 years apart. Week 2. 👯‍♀️
My daughter is 30. I'm 55. Every week this year we're trying one of her flows from @pilates.with.hope.moves, and this one had me wobbling on the carriage 😅
🧠 Why Pilates works, Week 2: balance is a skill you lose if you don't train it.
The reformer carriage moves under you. Every lunge makes your hips, glutes and the small muscles in your ankles work together to keep you steady. And you don't just push the springs out. You control them on the way back in, which builds strength and steadiness through the whole movement.
Why that matters after 50: our balance and leg strength fade quietly with age, and falls are one of the main ways people lose their independence later in life. Training it now protects the years ahead.
You don't need to do the splits. You need to keep showing up.
Who wins this week, mom or daughter? 👇
