Toronto last night was an absolute pleasure of a sold out show celebrating Lemon Tree which drops next week! 🍋💛@agoldrules is absolute pedalsteel legend & my Dad sang gloriously & cousins surprised me & my voice was almost gone from being sick all week but we rocked with it. My tote bag merch has too many words and we love it that way. Hope you guys don’t mind that I used your videos for this post. Meant a lot to have all of you out there 🥹🥰Thanks @theburdockmusichall & @mikepoisson for the sound!

today is my dad’s birthday. he is the best guy. he is kind and thoughtful and funny and great. he’ll drive all night in a snowstorm if someone he just met needs a ride. I miss the guy. a few years ago he appeared at my apartment and said elissa I’m going to need you to build me an instagram website and he had 365 posts lined up & ready to go. if you like birds then go follow him on instagram @pinebrook917 🌿🦆🦅 you can see them there, there’s some great photos. he’s absolutely unordinary & a wonderful songwriter & giver & teacher and makes me feel like I have permission to be myself every day & I wish I could take him to swiss chalet today like last year. ❤️
