Attention Pink boots members from Williamsport, Philly and Pittsburgh ‼️ We are so excited to announce that the Williamsport Pink Boots Chapter, in collaboration with the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh Chapters, has been selected as one of only 10 chapters in the world to participate in selecting this year’s Pink Boots hop blend in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Pink Boots Society x Yakima Chief Hops collaboration for the yearly hop blend!!!  This is such a cool opportunity, and we want you to be apart of it!! Info about the event: The event will take place Wednesday October 14th @newtrailbrewing in Williamsport PA 11am-1pm for members only. You MUST sign up for this event to participate, we are limiting the actual hop selection portion that will be sent to Yakima to 50 people so we can get accurate and consistent sensory information about the hops. (Breakfast and lunch to be provided to members by Williamsport Chapter) Can’t make the selection portion? No worries! The event will be open to the fermented beverage industry and Pink Boots members/supporters from 2:00–5:00 PM. So even if you are not able to participate in the selection itself, you can still come experience the hops, attend educational sessions, connect with fellow industry professionals, and enjoy local vendors and live music! The first portion of the event is open to all 3 participating chapters members who have registered: Williamsport, Philly, Pittsburgh( 11am-1pm). The second session of the event is open to industry professionals, members, and supporters (2pm-5pm). We also have hotel blocks for anyone traveling to the event (upon request). This is such a unique opportunity to come together with Pink Boots members from across Pennsylvania, participate in a super cool hop selection, and celebrate 10 years of the Pink Boots x Yakima Chief Hops collaboration! Spots are limited to the selection portion so please make sure you sign up!! There’s something magical about the way botanicals transform what we sip. 🌿☕ Join us next week on Friday, July 31st at 6pm for a special @magicofbotanicalmixology_ at @thebeekeeperscafe for an evening exploring the fascinating world where herbs, coffee, and mixology come together. Discover the history and benefits of thoughtfully selected botanicals, sample teas, tinctures, and specialty coffee creations, and learn how these remarkable plants have been used in everything from herbal traditions to craft beverages. Whether you’re a coffee enthusiast, curious about herbs, or simply looking for a unique night out, we’d love to share this experience with you. ✨ We can’t wait to see you there! The first time I read A Room of One’s Own by Virginia Woolf, her concept of having a space to be yourself really resonated with me. When thinking of where to host this meeting, @triplebottombrewing was top of mind for all the work that is done here to create more spaces for more people to be themselves in Philly 🍻 This was a truly special evening and thank you to everyone who was a part of it 🙏 #triplebottombrewing #collabphilly #pinkbootsphilly #phillybookclub #phillyphilosophy

TPPD Meeting 27: Creating Spaces - In Brewing, Philosophy, & Philly! 🍻 While all our Meetings can’t be ticketed (as that defeats the purpose of TPPD), they do have an intimate charm about them ✨ Last night we paired our discussion of A Room of One’s Own by Virginia Woolf at @triplebottombrewing (TBB) with three very special guests: Lorin (the GM of TBB), Deja (the leader of @collab.philly ), and @taranurin (author of "A Woman’s Place Is in the Brewhouse"), who all shared their journeys as they related to the theme of creating spaces for themselves and others 🙏 Lorin and Tara are also members of @pinkbootsphilly which works to advocate for and support women in brewing 👢 Between the lived experiences and the worldly knowledge shared, this was definitely one of our richer discussions - somehow two hours just wasn’t long enough! 😮 A huge thank you to everyone for coming out and opening up! 🤗 #thephillyphildept #philosophyforall #triplebottombrewing #phillybookclub #phillyphilosophy

Public speaking is better with friends! The sharing of knowledge is one of my ikigai, and I am extremely lucky to have spoken at multiple events this year alongside some really incredible women: Craft Brewers Conference (presented by the @brewersassoc ) with Shaye Holdaway @shayeholdaway on alternative beverage quality. A New Pour (presented by @pinkbootsphilly ) with Tara Nurin @taranurin , Sofia Deleon @sofmakeschurros , Marnie Old @meetmarnieold, and Jill Weber (@jetjill ) on yeast, ancient origins, and modern markets. Crafted for Action (presented by @craftedforaction ) with Allyn Duffy @duffs726 and Josette Footmon-Smith @ourculturebrewing on historical roots of female homebrewing traditions and the movements to share and brew these stories. It was an incredible honor to collaborate and learn from these amazing individuals that are their own forces of nature! I cannot express enough how thankful I am for these experiences, and I hope our audiences found the presentations more than educational, but felt the passion of each person that was on stage because DAMN these ladies have energy!

If you need me on the weekend of June 13, I’ll be at @paciderfest and making the most of a weekend getaway to Adams County. Coffee from @bantamroasters, @presidentscoffee and @raggededgecoffee. Dinner at @signofthebuck. Burritos from @neatoburritopa (on the way there and back). Cider at @ploughmancider and @bighillciderworks. Sweet treats from @sugarlipsbakeryco and @gettysburgchocolatemarket, cheese from @centralwedge, flowers from @mhjgardendesign, and plenty of stops at local shops, restaurants, and taprooms along the way. Official after party is always at @garryowenirishpub ☘️ Of course, the highlight is PA Cider Fest, with incredible cider makers, food trucks, live music, and one of the best cider communities around. Who else is turning Cider Fest into an amazing weekend? #PACiderFest #PennsylvaniaCiderFest #CraftCider #adamscountypa

This is for any brewery(s) interested in potentially winning them, as well as industry supporters who might want to donate these hops to their clients! This raffle runs now through June 7th, with a live drawing on Sunday, June 7th at Triple Bottom Brewing (915 Spring Garden St, Philadelphia, PA). Winners will be announced on the spot, and the hops ship directly to the brewery. What are the Hops? 👉 Hallertauer Mittelfrüher A traditional aroma variety from the Hallertau region in Bavaria. It has an alpha acid content of 5.7 and an oil content of 1.3 ml/100g, with aroma descriptors including honeydew melon, apricot, and strawberry depending on beer style and timing of addition. It’s priced at $11.16/lb and is also available as T90 2025. Entry costs $35 to $75 per ticket. Purchase as many as you like! Enter here: https://tickets.beertrail.com/e/hvg-hop-raffle
