I am currently at the hospital with my husband. He is having surgery to repair an abdominal hernia. I brought a long some dolls to keep me company and an activity book. Lilo and Barbie really help me feel better. I took them around outside for some photos.
The last picture is from Wednesday when we arrived at the hospital. That was the first time he came in for this surgery. He got as far as being in a bed with an IV when it was decided the surgery had to be rescheduled. More bloodwork was needed to be completed before he could have the surgery. Someone made a big mistake not having it completed before Wednesday.

New Barbie Style fashions, and more…..

A package from a doll friend arrived unexpectedly a couple of days ago, and inside where these sweet Barbie style fashions for the holidays. The fashions are adorable, and got me even more excited than ever for the upcoming couple of months.
As you can see, these are made to work with little hands and contemporary dolls, but that makes them no less precious. The patterns are sweet, and would absolutely appeal to the lovers of all ages, but I can see my nine year-old self playing sleepover with my best friend using these.
Adorable!
More importantly, though, these were a gift from somebody that I truly care about, who reached out to say I’m just thinking of you today. I cannot tell you how much that warmed my heart and made me feel so special.
I’ve mentioned this before, but not for quite some time – we have the opportunity in this community to be our most kind, loving selves. In the world that can feel overwhelming in it’s negativity, why not choose the path of love and kindness? It takes little to reach out to someone, either by dm , card, call or package. It’s true that everyone has hidden pain, and a helping hand can make a huge difference.
The most heartfelt thank you to my lovely friend, and a prompt for you all, dear dolls. Be the change you want to see. Keep spreading that Barbie love!

Here are some more photos from the mini convention held over the weekend by the Sacramento Fashion Doll Club. It was so much fun! I made my mini a matching ghost costume to mine that morning before I went. My husband @mrsew4dolls did not attend, but he was kind enough to bring me some cash that I forgot to bring so that I could buy some dolls. Thank you! 😘
@lorislittlelovelys gave a very informative presentation on the history of cartoons and the dolls that they inspired! It was amazing!

Barbie Christmas tree time!

It’s October first, and altho that would normally mean a doll shelf check in, this month begins the years final quarter…and it’s the very best!
As the days get shorter, I try to find ways to keep the darkness at bay. My tree is one of those things- pink ombré, full of Barbie memories and sweetness, its lights make the nights brighter, and its ornaments tell a story of my Barbie journey. It makes me smile every time I see it, and if that’s wrong, I don’t want to be right!

💚 CHECKS, GREEN & GETTING COZY 💚

Karl Barbie is getting cozy this Labor Day with a little green, a little checkered print and, of course, plenty of pink! 💕 I had so much fun putting this flat lay together. Even with temps outside that were in the triple digits.

And did you spot the Cabbage Patch bag and the tiny doll? Both were table gifts I received at Barbie convention from @pinkchchicbarbie and I love finding fun ways to work some of my convention treasures into my photos. 🥰

Since it’s Labor Day, Karl is taking the day off too, although judging by everything she packed, I’m not sure where she thinks she’s going. 😂

Sunday plans: PJs, records & staying in. 🎶🩷

It’s Sunday, and Barbie decided her best summer look today was a cute pair of PJs. No getting dressed up, no big plans, just staying indoors with Louie and spending the day listening to some of her favorite albums. 🐶💕

Of course, she had to pull out her Mini Brands record player and decide what to play first. With all those albums to choose from, she went with The Mamas & the Papas. 🎵

Sounds like a pretty good Sunday to me!

🎀✨ Happy Barbie IG Anniversary to me! ✨🎀

When I started this page, I never imagined where it would take me—or all the wonderful people I would meet along the way. 💕

What began as simply sharing my love for Barbie has turned into friendships, creativity, laughter, unforgettable memories, and a community that has brought me so much joy. And somehow, here I am having attended my second Barbie Convention! 💖 I definitely didn’t see that coming when I made that first post. 🥹

Today, I’m feeling especially grateful. Grateful for every friendship I’ve made here, every conversation, every bit of encouragement, and everyone who has shared in this little corner of the Barbie world with me. 🩷

And I’m equally grateful for the family and friends who have always supported my love for Barbie—and especially my little Barbie helpers along the way. 💕 From helping me set up a scene or pose a doll to giving me ideas or lending a hand with a post, so many of you have become part of this page in your own way. Happy 34th Anniversary Alfred! I love you. I am thankful for the life we have together. No one could have imagined when we met at Chili's back in 1990 that we would have the life together that we do today. It is easy for me to see how blessed we are with a beautiful family, pets, friends, concerts, and our hobbies. 🩷

Update- Thank you for caring for Little Foot. She is home recovering. She is alert and wants to be petted. She does have 2 weeks with a cone. Our new cat Shenzi is fighting an upper respiratory illness and fighting us taking her antibiotics. Things are tough right now.

Please keep my cat Little Foot in your thoughts and prayers. She is having surgery today for an obstruction in her stomach. I noticed she stopped eating on Tuesday and have been taking her to the veterinarian since Wednesday. She is such a sweet and loving cat.
She met my grandson a couple of weeks ago and was so good with him.
