Hey Detroit! We are building a movement for Theatre for Public Good and we are not alone.

A coalition of theatres from across the country just joined forces in Boston:
» Cleveland Public Theatre, Ohio @cptcle
» Company One Theatre, Massachusetts @companyoneboston
» Crowded Fire Theater, California @crowdedfire
» A Host of People, Michigan @ahostofpeople
» Junebug Productions, Louisiana @junebugnola
» Mixed Blood Theatre, Minnesota @mixedbloodtheatre
» Mosaic Theater Company, Washington DC @mosaictheaterdc
» Out of Hand, Georgia @outofhandatl
» Perseverance Theatre, Alaska @perseverancetheatre

» Pink Fang, New York @pinkfangnyc

What is a Theatre for Public Good? A Theatre for Public Good uses its space, craft, and convening power to strengthen community health and inspire community action towards building a more equitable democracy.

We’re committed to . . .
» practicing equity as structure
» building real power with the people we serve
» treating culture as a right, not a privilege
» leveraging artistic excellence toward a greater good, beyond the stage
» managing its finances as public infrastructure
» measuring community impact that matters

Theatre for Public Good started in March 2024, when 5 values-aligned, multi-racial theatres (Cleveland Public, Company One, Crowded Fire, Mosaic, and Perseverance) formed a cohort around a shared question: as social justice theatres, what can we do together that we cannot do alone?

After two years of convening and a framework presented at the TCG National Conference in June 2026, 11 theatres met in Boston this September to begin launching a national movement.

“The Table”, Manhattan, New York, 2026

Congratulations to our client, @pinkfangnyc , on the final performance of The Table.

Created by Artistic Director, New Work Mei Ann Teo and Erika Chong Shuch, The Table invited audiences into a liminal dream space grappling with insatiability, grief, and the body within systems. Through humor, movement, and visceral theatricality, five performers explored a deceptively simple question: What is enough?

We’re proud to have supported this continually evolving production and congratulate the entire cast, creative team, and staff on a remarkable run.

Pink Fang’s production of THE TABLE, by Mei Ann Teo and Erika Chong Shuch, is currently running through June 14 at the Gym at Judson in Greenwich Village.

THE TABLE grapples with our drives — the cravings and unrelenting impulses that propel us into accomplishment, and dissatisfaction. It embodies the exertions and contortions that result — sometimes painful, sometimes absurd, often both — and wonders: what might happen when we stop? How might we stop?

Through visceral meditations on insatiability, grief and the body in systems, THE TABLE pries open murky depths with fever dream hallucinations. A liminal dream space, it is a world in which every thing or one could be a portal. The life force is in everything.

Five performers probe the precarity of the imbalances through manipulation and existing inside of gravitational forces. Through humor and a few jumps in space-time, they live inside of this question: what is enough? Engaged in Pink Fang’s multi-layered, iterative devised process, THE TABLE is evolving continually. Gravity may shift.
