On Friday, April 24th, North Oakland/Macomb participated in our first chapter wide blood drive to benefit the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America Michigan Chapter. The need for donated blood remains constant, whether for accident victims, mothers in childbirth, individuals battling cancer, or those with chronic illnesses. A single donation can save multiple lives.

Tonight North Oakland/Macomb came together to spread Christmas cheer for three families. Each NOM family brought gifts that we sorted and wrapped with love. Next week our amazing Service Chair, Jamilah @mywrightlife , will deliver more than 100 gifts to the families we adopted. Moments like this remind us and our children what truly matters. In this very difficult season for so many, it is a blessing to be a blessing.🙏🏽🎄🙏🏽🎄

My weekend highlight was playing dress up with my sisters, eating a delicious meal that wasn’t Thanksgiving food, singing and dancing to music that got me through middle school and beyond, the “Hey girl!” and hugs shared with those I ran into, and stopping to pose for the camera along the way🤎

This scripture has carried me through the highs and lows of the past four years—all the way to walking across that graduation stage on Sunday, May 11, 2025. God’s Word has been a constant reminder to remain grateful for His presence and to faithfully align my steps with His will for my life.

I could go on and on about how thankful I am for the incredible HU people and communities that have poured into me—my sisters, 37, SLP, WRHLI, MAPS, Class Office, Chem Club, my professors, and so many more. Each of these groups has uniquely shaped me into the Hampton woman I am today.

I’m thrilled to share that the many sacrifices I’ve made throughout undergrad have truly paid off. This Fall, I will be matriculating into The Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Thank you, Hampton—I am forever indebted to you!
