Foundation Retreat 26’ 💗

How incredible is it that a last-minute “yes” led to the most fruitful and fulfilling week. What an honor it is to get to witness college students encountering God at the exact same age He truly got ahold of me.

I love this ministry because it allows incoming college students to step into a new, unknown, and often fearful stage of life with a community to uplift, encourage, and remind them that they don’t have to walk into this new season alone. I got to experience that exact community being built at camp as a whole, but also within my small group, where I had the most incredible girls and co-lead……..

I always say vulnerability creates connection, and to watch strangers open up to each other, share their stories, and speak about how the Lord has changed their lives and is actively working in them is truly such an honor. There is something so beautiful about watching people realize that they are seen, known, and deeply loved by God…….

It is so incredibly evident the way God is working through Foundation Retreat, the lives of the campers, counselors, and all of exec, the ways He’s working in the city of Lubbock, and the revival happening in our generation. I left this week more sure than ever that God is moving, and that He is inviting us to be a part of what He is doing….

The word that kept following me this weekend was “interruptible.” I pray that as so many of us college students head into this next season of life, we would be people who allow God to interrupt us, to interrupt our agendas, our plans, our fears, and our anxieties. That we would surrender our own expectations and allow Him to step into those places and transform them….

I pray we would be people who don’t just say yes to God when it’s convenient, but who live with open hands and open hearts, willing to go wherever He calls and do whatever He asks. That we would be willing to be interrupted, inconvenienced, and stretched for the sake of the Gospel.
Isaiah 6:8 says, “Here am I. Send me!”
That is my prayer coming out of this week. That we would be a generation who responds with the same posture,Here am I, Lord. Send me. Send me into my classrooms, my friendships, my w

WHAT. A. GOD.

It truly feels like a fever dream to get to be a part of Foundation. If you would’ve told me a year ago that I’d be jumping around worshipping and leading freshman girls in their walk with Jesus, I would’ve told you that you were crazy but God.

I’m in awe of the way He moved in both the little and big things all week. There was never a moment when you couldn’t feel His presence. I’ll never get tired of watching college students be completely on fire for Jesus.

And don’t even get me started on my small group!! These girls are full of so much joy, wisdom, and a love for Jesus like no other. This week, they went all in. They were vulnerable about their struggles and fears, asked the questions that had been weighing on their hearts, and were so willing to grow in their faith.

I’m so incredibly honored that God would allow me to speak His truth over these girls and walk alongside them as they grow closer to Him.

We enjoyed our Easter Weekend Palo Duro trip! It was such a fun and restful time reflecting on the Lord and His goodness while enjoying His creation. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
