We want to shine a spotlight on @pintgiving (People In Need Today), a small but mighty charity doing essential work to help those struggling to make ends meet across London.

Helping between 600 and 700 people every single week, PINT supports the homeless, single parents, the elderly, and vulnerable individuals who find themselves in desperate situations. From assembling packages with hot meals and daily essentials to mentoring young adults and delivering food parcels to those confined to their homes, their community outreach is truly incredible.

📍Streatham Soup Kitchen
The team provides support seven days a week, including a regular stop right here in SW16. They run a local soup kitchen every Monday from 7 - 7:30pm outside the Streatham Odeon.

🤝 How you can help: as a small charity, PINT relies entirely on donations to fuel their efforts and keep their round-the-clock assistance going. They’re also always looking for reliable volunteers who can spare a few hours. There are plenty of roles available, whether you want to join the on-the-ground street outreach team or help behind the scenes with admin, marketing, legal, tech, or graphic design.

Please give them a follow to learn more about what they do, find out how to donate, or sign up to volunteer!

We’re so grateful to The Funding Network for inviting us to speak at its Summer Connector.

Thank you to everyone who came, listened, asked questions and chose to support our work. Together, donations on the night reached £12,000.

The money will help us continue running Family Group, support the day-to-day work that makes it possible, and bring the model to more schools.

Family Group brings children, parents, carers and school staff together regularly, with an experienced psychotherapist. It gives families and schools time to listen to one another, understand what is happening around a child and build trust.

A special thank you to Anja Batista Sönksen, who introduced us to The Funding Network and made a generous donation on the night.

Thank you too to our CEO and Founder, Mark Griffiths, for speaking about our work, and to Dhakshini Patel, Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist; Lucy Mastrocola, Headteacher at @coombehilljuniorschool, where Family Group takes place; Andrea Hartley, Chair of the Board at The School & Family Works and Founder and CEO of @SkatingPanda; and Joanna Watson, Programme Manager – Transforming Lives at The School & Family Works, for being there and helping others understand what Family Group looks like in practice.

It was also wonderful to hear from the other charities presenting on the night, @elf_law and @pintgiving, who are pictured with us here.

Good things happen when people work together.
