"My fashion sense has always been that I want to look like the most magical person in the building, or I want to look like I'm taking a step out of candy land." -PIXI

Orlando’s Salad Day Kids
Salad Days is an expression of the spirit of its Shakespearean namesake— capturing youthfulness, idealism, and innocence.
The subjects aren’t models, but gallery kids. A small group of diverse young adults that contribute to Orlando, Florida’s unique culture. These young adults attend the various art shows in the area carrying with them a self-confidence and an exciting fashion-forward mentality
Many portraits within Salad Days feature individuals of the LGBTQ+ community.
With the homophobic and transphobic laws being passed in Florida it's more important than ever to share their stories, confidence, and enthusiasm. The series aims to highlight and complement each person’s personality; often with unconventional and bold backdrops.
Fluid sexuality, pride, race, gender and the constantly evolving culture heritage we carry with us are a focus of the series.

Today I have to make one of the most difficult posts in my life. Early this morning I received a message from my drag mother @vicovicasto and found out we lost my drag sister @juvinity_ .

Juju, Every single time I’ve hung out with you was truly full of laughter. You were one of the first people I associated with when starting drag. You are the reason Jaslene knew it was ok to add me and @pixithekween to the Haus of Du’Clair.

I will always remember how we all have #Coach bags, and didn’t even coordinate it. I remember that you are the only person that wears the same symbol as me, The Ankh.

The Ankh, the Egyptian Symbol for Eternal Life. Juju was just full of life. Juju will still live on as well. With the sounds of the rain, with every drag show cheering others on, and with plenty of laughter. You loved drag. You appreciated every entertainer and were so willing to share performances of all of your friends.

Juju, I know one day we will meet again, but until then you are going to be a shining light in the stars. The joy you have brought people is why you are a Du’Clair, always and forever.

I love you sister, We will meet again.
