Grossinger’s Resort was the most talked about destination in the Jewish Catskills — once known as the Borscht Belt —where Jewish families could vacation, escaping rising antisemitism in the mid-1900s. Paula Eiselt’s charming documentary unearths decades of Grossinger’s history, reframing its legacy as not only a pop culture hotspot, but also a trailblazing feminist enterprise and a haven for Jewish-American identity and acceptance.

Official Selection, DOC NYC, 2025

Three years later, on October 7th, we are still mourning the lives taken and the lives forever changed. We remember the hostages, the families, and the women whose stories must never be minimized, doubted, or forgotten.

Our tradition teaches that memory is not passive. We do not choose the moments that demand something of us. We choose whether we show up.

Today we remember. This week we act. Swipe for three ways to start, and tap the link in our bio.
