“How do you mentally prepare for (insert hard thing)?”

This is a question we get a lot. It’s not hard, really. Do hard things. Set goals, fall short, reset, try again.

One easy way to do that is physical prep. Train hard, get uncomfortable, find new limits, and keep coming back hungry no matter how many lashings you take.

Then once you’re really in it- it boils down to two things: resolve and intent (got that from @rdsparks book). You’ll build resolve daily if you’re training. I promise, you’ll want to succeed a lot worse if you’ve really spent the time to prepare yourself properly.

Hell Day Denver official Fitness Test scores posted! Congratulations to QR for earning the Top Performer Award, earning himself a full scholarship to our upcoming San Clemente, CA Hell Day event!

▪️ QR is a 22 year-old real-estate agent living in Colorado Springs, CO that is pursuing a Navy SEAL contract. He was a humble, hard-working student that constantly outperformed his classmates physically. The Hell Day event provided QR with an opportunity to develop his leadership in a challenging environment with a large team while receiving mentorship from active duty Navy SEALs, USAF PJs, Green Berets, and other elite warriors. We expect nothing but great things from QR as he pursues his dream to become A Navy SEAL. “It pays to be a winner!”

▪️ Each Hell Day begins with a Fitness Test (PST/PFT/IFT) in which proper form is strictly enforced. Unacceptable repetitions are not counted. Many students score lower calisthenics numbers than expected, specifically on pull-up and push-up evaluations. Never sacrifice proper form to increase your numbers.

The “Doom-up” exercise incorporates breath holds while submerged upside down. The feeling of water seeping into the nasopharynx causes extreme discomfort to many. Get comfortable being uncomfortable.
