queue up Sade-The Sweetest Gift🤍 An ode to the woman who’s unconditional love feels like protection of the divine. Who gifted me the greatest lesson of how to surrender to life because love is always embodied. My most phenomenal teacher of community care. Its from my sweet mama that I know love is inherent and that we keep each other going. She’s the city girl who gave all of herself for her babies, her family, and her neighbors. I love her for the person she is, not because of the title, Mother, that she has had to live up to for me. It takes grace and strength to be as gentle and kind as she has. She always says I keep her spirit alive because she wants to be just like me🥹 but the truth is I am committed to living and loving a joyful life in order to embody her. I will forever hold you in tenderness, in joy, strength, and in grief as you have endlessly done so for me. Thank you for saving my life again & again! And thanks for being all my best friends’ mama too ;) @pkactisdale

& always in my heart holding everyone close for whom this day is difficult; whether it be grief & familial loss, the mourning of motherhood, painful relationships…you are loved endlessly

Woman crush Wednesday, every day. #wcw

***@pkactisdale sent us the most lovely box and note today, the flower crown is ONE of the things she sent, and yes...I'm going to make it mine..but I couldn't resist putting it on my queen. I couldn't be more grateful for people like her. She's a hurricane of a woman.***
