🌟RENEE GLADMAN AT THE JOYNES READING ROOM 🌟 On Tuesday, 11/10 at 6pm, Plan 2 and the Joynes Reading Room are delighted to host acclaimed “writer of drawings” Renee Gladman for a reading from her work, followed by a conversation with Deb Olin Unferth and a reception. Composer of fiction, poetry, and nonfiction, sometimes all at once, Gladman’s books trace the boundaries between genres, between form and architecture, between writing and drawing. She is the author of fourteen published works, including a cycle of novels about the city-state Ravicka and its inhabitants, the Ravickians—Event Factory (2010), The Ravickians (2011), Ana Patova Crosses a Bridge (2013) and Houses of Ravicka (2017).

🌟 Plan 2 students: please email zack.schlosberg@utexas.edu about an opportunity to meet/chat with Renee Gladman before the reading on 11/10! Free copies of two of Gladman’s recent books will be available at the front desk of the Joynes Reading Room starting 9/21.

To the most transformative 4 years of my life: thank you @utaustintx for the most incredible education, friends, and opportunities. Every year was a challenge and pushed me past my limits every time. This senior year I was truly given the chance to do some incredible things from serving as the UT Senate of College Councils President to writing my honors thesis to involuntarily taking 18 hours my last semester.

Thank you UT for taking me as your student and for giving me the chance to serve you.
