INGREDIENTS:
1 (14- to 16-ounce) block extra-firm tofu
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/3 cup Japanese barbecue sauce or another favorite sauce, plus more as needed
Thinly sliced scallions (optional), for serving

AIR FRYER METHOD:
1. Wrap the tofu in a clean kitchen towel or several layers of paper towels. Place a heavy skillet or tofu press on top and press for 20 to 30 minutes to remove as much excess moisture as possible.
2. Preheat the air fryer to 425°F, if required by the manufacturer.
3. Cut the pressed tofu into approximately 1-inch cubes and transfer them to a large mixing bowl.
4. Drizzle the soy sauce over the tofu and gently toss until evenly coated. Add the garlic powder and onion powder, then toss again.
5. Sprinkle the nutritional yeast and cornstarch over the tofu. Toss gently until each piece is evenly coated and no dry patches of cornstarch remain.
6. Arrange the tofu in a single layer on an air-fryer tray or in the basket, leaving a little space between the pieces for air to circulate. Use a perforated air-fryer liner if desired.
7. Air fry for 25 minutes, turning the tofu halfway through, until crisp and deeply golden on all sides.
8. Transfer the hot tofu to a clean bowl. Add the barbecue sauce and toss until evenly coated. Garnish with scallions, if using, and serve immediately.

OVEN METHOD:
1. Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Arrange the coated tofu in a single layer and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crisp and golden. Toss with the sauce while hot.

GRATEFUL for this! It is NOURISHING, SATISFYING, EYE-CATCHING, WHOLESOME and made out of ALIVE FOOD.

To tell you the truth in short. When I worked in the fitness industry I was counting both, calories & protein. Because my tutors taught me, that this is the best for the body. But I was struggling with chronic sinus inflammation, throat pain, dark spots under the eye and gut problems. With getting more educated in vegan nutrition and going vegan myself, things got better and I got more connections to my body and his needs. By trusting the progress, eating vegan, mostly raw, I could heal. Today I am eating instinctively with no worries about getting enough protein, no counting calories, no restrictions instead I enjoy the pure pure joy of eating naturally.

This wrap 🌯 is absolutely mind blowing.
The WRAP is made out of carrots, red bell pepper, psyllium husk and some water.
STUFFING I used red cabbage, green lettuce, mushrooms and a tomato & cashew cream. Feel free to use any veggies you have on hand, there are no limits.

Have a great Monday💚
