✨ Mindset Monday
Do you dread Mondays—or maybe just the job waiting for you when Monday arrives? 😩
Sometimes we can’t immediately change what we have to do, but we can change the way we think about it.
One perspective I appreciate from Oprah is the idea of viewing our work through the lens of service. Instead of asking, “Why do I have to do this?” we can ask:
“Who can I help through what I do today?”
Not every task will suddenly become exciting. 😏 But connecting even ordinary work to a larger purpose can change the way we experience it.
So as you head into this week, consider this your Monday mindset shift:

Don’t just focus on the task. Remember who your work serves.

Maybe a little more purpose is exactly what Monday needs. 💛

Do you agree? How does the work you do serve someone else?

Wellness Wednesday 🌿
What if some of the best medicine doesn't come in a bottle?

🥗 Food can nourish us.

🚶🏾‍♀️ Movement can release tension.

😴 Sleep can restore us.

✍🏾 Journaling can help us process what we're carrying.

☀️ Sunlight and nature can help us reconnect.

🎶 Music can lift us.

🎨 Art can inspire us.

✈️ Travel can give us a new perspective.

❤️ And self-love can remind us that we're worthy of our own care.

Wellness isn't one big, dramatic thing.
Often, it's the small things we practice consistently that help us navigate the stress of everyday life.

Over the next few weeks in my Radiant & Rooted newsletter, I'll be exploring practical, accessible ways to help our minds and bodies release stress and make restoration part of everyday life.
Because sometimes medicine looks a lot like living well. 🌿

Want to come along?

💌 Type CIRCLE in the comments and I'll DM you the link to join my weekly newsletter. You can also sign up through the link in my bio.

💬 And tell me: What does “medicine” look like in your life right now?

✨ Mindset Monday

“Healing isn’t just about what we eat. It’s also about what we’re willing to release.”

We spend so much time thinking about what we should add to our lives—more vegetables, more water, more exercise, more supplements.
But sometimes healing begins with what we let go of.
The stress we’ve been carrying.
The pressure to always have it together.
The guilt that keeps us from resting.
The habits, thoughts, and expectations that no longer serve us.

As someone who believes deeply in the power of an anti-inflammatory lifestyle, I’ve come to realize that true wellness isn’t just about nourishing our bodies with good food. It’s also about creating space for peace, joy, and restoration.

This quote comes from this week’s My Anti-Inflammatory Life reflection in my Radiant & Rooted newsletter, where I share practical insights on reducing stress, eating well, traveling with intention, and creating a healthier, more vibrant life.

💛 If you’re ready for weekly encouragement that nourishes your mind, body, and spirit, I’d love to have you join the Radiant & Rooted community.

How do you end an epic California Coast road trip?
You take the breathtaking 17-Mile Drive from Carmel-by-the-Sea to Monterey. 🌊🚗

This iconic route winds through some of California’s most stunning scenery, including:

✨ The world-famous Pebble Beach Golf Links
🌲 The beautiful Del Monte Forest
📸 The legendary Lone Cypress
🌊 Jaw-dropping coastal views around every turn

Once we arrived in Monterey, the adventure continued with a visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, a stroll along Cannery Row, and plenty of opportunities to soak in the beauty of this incredible coastal town.
And because no road trip is complete without great food, we wrapped up the day at El Cantaro Vegan Mexican Restaurant. 🌮💚

The vegan chicken enchiladas were delicious, the fajitas were sizzling perfection, and the fried plantain topped with vanilla soy ice cream, strawberry sauce, and carob chocolate sauce was the perfect ending to an unforgettable journey. Don’t skip the Chamoyada either—it was absolutely worth it!

Monterey truly has something for everyone:

🐠 World-class marine life
🌊 Spectacular coastal scenery
🚶🏾 Historic waterfront charm
🐋 Whale watching opportunities
🌿 Endless outdoor adventures
🌮 Amazing vegan food

If Monterey isn’t on your California Coast road trip itinerary yet, add it to your list.

💭 A little wisdom from a seasoned woman...

If there’s something you’re passionate about—do it.
Take the trip.
Start the business.
Learn the skill.
Write the book.
Plant the garden.
Change your lifestyle.
Follow the dream that’s been tugging at your heart.
So many of us spend years waiting for the “perfect” time. We tell ourselves we’ll do it when work slows down, when the kids are older, when we have more money, more confidence, or more certainty.
But life has a way of reminding us that tomorrow isn’t guaranteed.
Every day we wake up is a gift. Every sunrise is another opportunity to create memories, pursue purpose, and make room for the life we truly desire.
Don’t let your passions collect dust on a shelf labeled “one day.”

Start where you are.
Use what you have.
Take the first step.
Your future self will thank you.

✨ What’s one thing you’ve been putting off that you want to make time for this year?

I almost said no.
Being in a group of photographers… teaching food photography… with an iPhone?

Everything in me said:
“You’re not ready.”
“You’re not qualified.”
But I said yes anyway.
And that one decision reminded me of something I’ll never forget:

👉 You don’t need to have it all figured out to be impactful.
👉 You just need to be willing to show up.

That “yes” was proof of growth.
Proof that I’ve been doing the work.
Proof that purpose will stretch you before it elevates you.
And here’s the truth…

Anti-inflammatory living isn’t just about what’s on your plate.
It’s about:
✔ Saying yes to aligned opportunities
✔ Letting go of fear
✔ Stepping into purpose

So let me ask you…

What do you need to say YES to this week?

👇🏾 Drop “YES” in the comments if you’re ready for your next level
