‘AS WE ARE’ Vol. 1 ✨

It was so much fun creating this project and highlighting such amazing artists in honor of International Women’s Month. Thank you again to these lovely humans for being apart of this project and bringing something so dear to me, to life 🤍

I’m already excited to start Vol. 2 come March 2027! If there’s anyone I should keep in mind to be honored for next year, drop them in the comments!!

Back behind a camera for the first time since high school, and it feels liberating and frightening all at the same time.

For my class project, I had the honor of creating a short portrait film of one of my incredible friends @platanoperls @viboraveneno. Made with a tight deadline and a lot of love.

Taking a page out of @mayasworld and shamelessly sharing my work…no longer waiting until it’s “ready” because waiting means it never gets made. REPOST PLEASE 😬🙏

✨MEET Plátano Perls aka Perla Mabel — Visual Artist✨

‘As We Are.’ is a portrait series created in celebration of International Women’s Month, highlighting women and femme creatives who contribute to Boston’s vibrant cultural community. Through conversation, reflection, and visual storytelling, each participant shares insight into their creative practice, lived experiences, and evolving sense of identity. The series centers their voices, their journeys, and the ways they shape culture through their work. Together, these stories form a collective reflection on creativity, resilience, and community.

It’s an honor to have Perla apart of this project. Their advocacy & storytelling, especially towards black & brown experiences/culture, has always drawn me into their work. To share creative and personal space with Perla is truly magic — I learn more about my art, how I express, through artists like them. Thank you again for being a part of this project 🤍
