@plaukli x Iceland Black, MONOCHROME Red ”The idea behind this recipe, was to bring out the shapes and contrast of the harsh Icelandic landscapes, while at the same time keep a tonality that I like. I started out with MONOCHROME red, a great way to instantly create drama in the skies, which became a foundation for most of these images. MONOCHROME Red has less grain than ACROS, and the slight s-curve and added sharpness and clarity, gave an almost illustrated feel to many of the images.” #monochromered #colorslikefilm #xe5

❄️ 70 people. One Arctic. One shared call to action. During The Arctic Call Expedition in Svalbard, September 2026, 70 participants came together to learn from the Arctic — immersing ourselves in its extraordinary landscapes, wildlife, communities and changing environment. What incredible, immersive days. Days filled with discovery, powerful conversations, shared experiences and moments that will stay with us for a lifetime. We’ve all returned home with something more than memories: renewed optimism, a deeper connection to the Arctic, and a determination to make a difference. Because the Arctic is calling. And together, we can answer. 🌍❄️ A heartfelt thank you from The Arctic Call 💙 Photo credits: @plaukli #TheArcticCall #Svalbard #Arctic #ClimateAction #ClimateChange

Monacobreen, north Svalbard. A slab of ice the size of a house came off the front and hit the sea. You feel it in your ribs before you hear it. @Hilde Fålun Strøm has lived up here for thirty years. She wasn’t admiring it. I trained as a geomorphologist long before extreme medicine. Glaciers were meant to change over centuries. These are going backwards in a lifetime. The ice falling off the front isn’t being replaced any more. Days earlier I’d spoken at The Arctic Call climate conference in Longyearbyen about what happens to people when the ice goes. The ground shifts, the water changes, and help ends up further away. Still spectacular. I just see it differently now. 📍 Monacobreen, Svalbard 📷 @plaukli

But getting this digital postcard from X-Photographers @jonas.rask and @plaukli made us feel a bit better 🥰 If you're in the City of Love this weekend, don't miss Fujikina.
