The first choreo of the 2027 Show ☄️ "Medea" , a greek mythological Femme Fatale character that although has been somewhat tragic, in a deeper look symbolized omnipotent radicalism: in power, in intelligence, and if necessary - violence. Although our 2027 show won't portray her direct story, but will withdraw from the radicalism and force she represents.

Dirty Daiana to MJ of course is like the number one choreography of mine that is the essence of it. I will remix Pure, Alien Superstar and Thick from Beyoncé Renaissance as another example of what it will be like. Medea is a radical character that is going to go on, as she wants it and whether or whether not this will be approved, validated, wanted. A female that isn't organizing herself around these at the first place.

We are days away from the Unholy & Alpha Shows but I could not hold it but get MEDEA out of my head. I feel like it is an answer to all the emotional experience of Dimensions, Unholy: a sequel. This year I also had so many epiphanies (that were more intense recently). I felt that after creative investigations that for me always go along what I learn in layers about the world, universe society and myself. ... I got to the bottom of it. And Medea will be that energy.

Also, a small personal insert. I met once a Belgian poet who would be having coffee in same place as me. He told me once about Medea (he thought I had something of it), I didn't do much of it then. But he would be telling me about her, so finally I looked it up and it stick to me. As many years later, observing the world and watching how the power dynamics I just internally arrived to the conclusion that she wasn't a tragic character. But the world was tragic. So it is important to embrace "her side to us" especially in us women. (Thank you Aldo).

Next year, I would also want to prioritize visuals over the performance (we will still perform) but I would want us to make a conceptual video (book with chapters) . Also for students to train a bit more one piece per direct outcome.

I promised myself to never force shows. To only do it if and until something "internally calling" comes with it. Here we are. More soon 🙂

Into the unknown 🌠 My improvisation piece... Guess I found the floor more interesting than the chair... 🫢

It feels amazing to let your energy FLOW through your body like this.

Thank you @playground.expressive for getting me out of my comfort zone during my very first chair dance workshop by @daiaance

Should I give the chair another chance next time? 🤩

Well, that was intense....

The emotion in this song is so powerful 🔥 I had to sit down and drink a herbal tea to come down after dancing it, I was shaking so much!

It felt amazing though 😊 to be able to let go this much. I have always loved Sia's music, her voice carries so much emotion 💖 It's fair to say, I felt every word ❤️‍🔥

Anyone else unable to stop themselves lip syncing when dancing 🤔😂 I'm just so into it, I can't help it 🤷‍♀️

Learnt this in a live online zoom workshop last sunday with my instructor @k_e_morton during one of their weekly @playground.expressive sessions. Such a beautiful routine 💖 😇

2.5 hrs to learn, with all the details and expressive elements. My legs ached a bit the next day 😳😅

Who wants to learn some of it??? 😉
