Today is our staged reading of Gilgamesh by Dan Ondang, the first play to come out of our New Shoots Program! 📖 🎭

We’re so excited to be hosting this event tonight at 7 pm at the Pavilion Theatre (Prince Charles Park if the smoke clears, make sure to watch our stories for an update!) 😃

This reading is free and you will get a sneak peek into what our New Shoots program is all about and what Dan has been up to the past year! Hope to see you there! 🎉

Image Description: The image is filled with text that says ‘Gilgamesh Staged Reading, Monday, August 16th, 2021, 7 pm, Pavilion Theatre (Prince Charles Park if smoke clears), free.’ It has a white, red, yellow and blue colour pallet with little designs around the edge of the image.

This is Dan, our pick for the New Shoots mentorship program with Project x!

How many Dan Ondangs does it take to screw in a lightbulb? Last time he changed the light bulbs in his room the lamp took two lightbulbs, so it only took 1 Dan Ondang to screw in 2 lightbulbs so therefore it must only take ½ a Dan Ondang to screw in a lightbulb. 💡

When he isn't performing household fixture maintenance, you'll find Dan performing with The Freudian Slips (@slipsfreudian) or performing whatever it is he does on Tonight's the Night with Zorblax, Destroyer of Worlds (@zorblax_destroyer_etc).

You can follow his progress on Instagram over at his page @playwrights.notes

Thank you to @cityofkamloops Community Arts Grant for making this program possible!
