Grandfather left me his old Swiss army knife with black ebony handles. It initiated my passion for folding knives. © plicatilis, all rights reserved.

Many have asked me: what do you mean by an emerging knife maker? A knife maker who in recent years has significantly raised the quality of his work, achieving critical and public success.
Here are 4 knifemakers who are having great success, whose work is so recognizable... In the end, the young and talented Grayson Jennings won, happy to give him this Edward, who had narrowly missed out in the "Best young knifemaker" category.
Only 2 Edwards left to go, next Sunday: "Best collaboration".

Even though the investigations are still ongoing into the suspicion of electoral fraud*, I am unfortunately forced to declare this tall boy (who doesn't play basketball) as the winner. Apart from my usual ramblings, Honoré, in addition to being a smart and very nice boy, is predestined: since the beginning of his career (at 15 years old) many have noticed in his knives a cleanliness, an elegance and an uncommon attention to details.
This Edward surely represents the highest point of his career (😜), but many others will surely come!

A big round of applause to the other awesome and talented nominees, unfortunately they paid a dispersion of North American votes compared to the only European "racehorse".

I would like to mention other young knife makers who, although nominated, did not reach the poll by 1 or 2 votes: Ulysse Robert, Jacco van de Bruinhorst, Remy Dupoux, Will Stelter, Drew Lilinger, Camille Sennegon.
Keep pushing guys!

PS: Don't miss next Sunday's Edward: "The Best Kitchen Knife"

*At the moment these are just the writer's speculations.

I am particularly happy to award this prize: a recognition to knife collectors, co-protagonists of the knives community, so important for the "all knife movement".

What an incredible friendly battle that ended with a minimum distance between the greats Drew Rice and Cori K. Both did not vote for each other, just to tell you the extreme sportsmanship of the contenders...
See you next week for the Edward that will be awarded to the best fixed knife: a clash of the titans is expected!

Here we are, the first "Edward" is awarded, and after what a battle! 4 great knifemakers received many votes (80) and in the end Landesman came out on top. Congratulations to him and all those who participated.

PS: don't miss the Edward for the "Best Classic Folder Knife" next Sunday. Can you already imagine who the 4 nominees will be?

Today I present a young knifemaker but rightly already known by many enthusiasts. Romain Lopez's work is recognisable, inspired and perfectly technically executed, it's a real pleasure to shine the spotlight on him today.
Thank you Romain for being here!
