Sometimes wanting to grow isn’t enough. We need people in our lives who can help us see what we can’t see on our own.

In this Shared Seat, Pastor Will Plonk shares a realization he had while leading cross-culturally: while he deeply valued cultural growth, the people mentoring and shaping him largely shared the same cultural perspective.

Will shares how seeking diverse mentorship helped him navigate the hard parts of cross-cultural leadership, recognize blind spots, and keep growing along the way.

Because being a lifelong learner sometimes means asking: Who am I learning from and whose perspective might I be missing?

Equal Outcome vs. Equal Opportunity is out on all platforms!

Opportunity doesn’t exist in a vacuum.

The starting point, obstacles, and weight people carry along the way matter.

If you’ve wondered how to approach conversations about equal opportunity with a biblical lens, this latest pod is for you.

The conversation around equal opportunity is more complicated than “good choices” and “bad choices.”

Sometimes the question isn’t just what someone chose.

It’s what options they had in front of them.

These conversations are not simple, and they require curiosity, humility, and a willingness to learn.

Listen to our last episode of the season now!

Where do you go when you’re trying to make sense of race?

The answer shapes everything that follows.

We believe Scripture provides the most holistic framework for understanding the problems of race in America.

That doesn’t mean every question has an easy answer.

It means we let God’s Word shape the conversation before anything else.

Hear our full conversation in our latest episode.

▪️How Scripture shapes our understanding of unity
▪️Why pursuing people different from us is part of experiencing more of God’s Kingdom

We all have a culture.

The question is whether we’ve learned to see it.

For those in the majority culture, noticing that can be difficult.

When the world around you largely reflects your experiences, values, and norms, it’s easy to mistake your culture for a universal experience.

When that happens, you can miss others navigating the world differently, often carrying unique burdens within that difference.

How do you start to notice the water you’re swimming in? Head over to the link in our bio to hear our thoughts in the latest pod with Will Krause.
