Not my usual kind of post. Set myself the challenge in January of running a full marathon with very little running experience.

The main reason for this was as it is quite a big task it is something that will keep me disciplined and consistent throughout the year. 🙏

One of the toughest and most enjoyable tasks I’ve taken on to date 📅

A lot of lessons learned along the way that I can pass on to clients about consistency, discipline and delayed gratification. 🤝

If you want to level up, surround yourself with the people and community who will show you what’s possible, and encourage you to get there.

@runshoreditch Half Marathon with @saucony was such a great run today. And you know you are good company when your coaches come first and second in their races. @pmruncoach @sophiebradick and @bertiewilkins and @onecity crew absolutely smashed it today 🙌.

I saw so close to my targeted time but a little leg cramp slowed me down, but I got there with a 1.42 finish. 😍. I’m very happy with that. Amsterdams coming soon, 😈. Let’s see what’s possible there.

Surround yourself with people who will help you in ways you can’t imagine. Don’t let your mind hold you back any more. Life’s far too short for that nonsense.

Protect the session not the ego.

How easy are your easy runs?

Do you understand what purpose they serve?

What run in your week is actually going to move help move the needle over time?

What will you most likely care about more, the average pace of your easy run on strava or the missed reps in your threshold sessions?
