I could fish for hand sized wild browns with a 3wt, on a small stream all day. These guys may be small but they are aggressive. Thanks for all the love this weekend, was very pleased to see a bunch of familiar faces on the mountain yesterday, Conditions were ideal! I had a bunch of luck on top of the water this weekend, many larger terrestrials were out. Take note ! It’s May 30th 📝 We literally stumbled into a massive hopper hatch in the meadows along the Guadalupe River. Witnessed a live grasshopper fall into the Guadalupe and float a good 2 yards downstream before getting completely SMASHED by one of these jalapeño sized native trout, hiding under some overhang. The experience was almost as good as catching. Olive body #Caddis did well, size 14 #Hoppers, and of course my favorite fly, the ol trusty #GriffithsGnat always seems to do well in these parts. I must have put in 10 miles in flip flops out here. Practice catch and release. I’ll catch YOU all back in Babylon 😎🤙🏽 #GeminiSeason #Grounded

"I am losing precious days. I am degenerating into a machine for making money. I am learning nothing in this trivial world of men. I must break away and get out into the mountains" #TrujilloPolaroid ⛺️🗺Reached the mountains just in time to catch the sunset. Found a nice little spot next to a small stream. Unfamiliar mountain; Rain has been off and on. I set up a canopy right away, and pitch my tent under the cover before it gets too dark. Quickly Cover the fire pit with the Disk , retrieve some of the dry wood from the truck and start chopping, doing my best to keep ALL of the wood dry. Got a small fire going under the cover of the Disk, and maintain my fire at a medium flame. Prepared some smoked sausage and potatoes, they will cook in a little oil. Crack this beer and put on some music, I'll meet my friends in Town tomorrow morning. Maybe we'll get a little fishing in before the show in #Taos #AlabamaShakes Hi mom! 👋🏽📸 #NewMexicoTrue
