This win has taken me a little time to process. On the 11th June Aethi Opum won best fragrance in the Artisan Category at the Art and Olfaction awards in Athens.

Formulating this scent was lengthy, beautiful, emotional and at times difficult, sad and demanding. I considered the importance of shifts; both seasonal but mostly generational. What to keep, what to let go of and what to carry forward. As our Erykah says: Pack light.

I am so proud and happy that this scent made it through to the finals and won. With over 400 submissions from all over the world, and with the judges smelling blind, I feel it is a testament to how powerful scent really can be.

Thank you to the judges and the @artandolfaction team for your dedication to true independent perfumery and to those who support my business and believe in it, in so many different ways.

Looking back, it’s not the first pear I have won it turns out. I cannot wait to receive my second in the post. 🍐 #aethiopumperfume
