Some of my favourite adventures this year have been with this beautiful soul, Georgie 🙏🏼✨

@walkwithwomen I’ve been wanting to write a few words to honour our friendship and the journey we’re sharing.

My mind and my heart keep coming back to Konya, we travelled together this summer. For anyone who doesn’t know, it’s the city where Rumi lived, and a place deeply connected with Sufi whirling. Turkey brought me a grounding I can’t quite explain and a sense of recognition. And I’m so grateful that you were able to witness this and mirror it back to me.

I love hearing what this practice means in your own life and your witnessing your personal exploration and connection to it.

And I’m so grateful for our @sacredspiralretreats and what it’s becoming for us. As place to gather what we’re learning, let it deepen and give it room to take shape together. And also for our beautiful home in Morocco, and that we get to bring this work there together. We have a handful of places left for 19–24 January. If you feel drawn to join us, send us a message. ✨

Thank you @kenkenjohnston for taking these photos of us in Greece last week. We’ve spent so much time traveling together this summer and didn’t have any pictures to honor and remember the journey and now we do! 🤗 📸

July was a difficult month for me.

Which feels strange to say, because on the outside, it probably looked like an incredible one.

I travelled to beautiful places. I facilitated. I trained. I met amazing people. I had experiences I’ll never forget.

But behind the photos and the beautiful moments, July challenged me in ways I wasn’t expecting.

I was triggered more times than I’d like to admit, and there were moments where I reacted from a deeply emotional place that I’m not proud of. Things didn’t unfold the way I had hoped they would, on many occasions.

My training didn’t go as planned, and I was forced to learn some pretty valuable lessons.

I felt unwanted in a place I deeply loved. I felt hurt by people I cared about. I questioned myself, my choices, my path… almost everything.

And honestly, I was exhausted.

For most of the month I felt burnt out, unmotivated and disconnected from myself. There were moments where I wondered what I was even doing and whether I still wanted any of it.

Because Instagram doesn’t show that part.

It shows the sunsets, the travel, the magic, the beautiful experiences.

It doesn’t always show the messy, uncertain, emotional human being behind the camera.

And yet, one of the biggest gifts of this month was the people around me.

The people who showed up. Who listened. Who held space. Who reminded me who I am when I had forgotten. Who loved me even when I wasn’t showing up as the best version of myself.

I’m incredibly grateful for every person who was a rock for me this month.

For loving me through the messy parts.
For accepting me when I was emotional, exhausted, confused and human.
For reminding me that I don’t have to have it all figured out.

I finally feel like I’m coming back to myself.

And I’m walking into August with a much softer heart, a few more lessons, a lot more self-awareness, and an enormous amount of gratitude.

Thank you to the people who held me this month.

You know who you are 🤍

The Connection Table has been a concept I’ve been thinking about for a little while now. ✨

In a world where we feel like we’re connected with one another because we’re hyper-connected digitally, we are actually living in a time when we’ve never been more starved of human connection.

For the first time in history, loneliness is now recognised as a public health crisis. 1 in 3 people report to feeling chronic loneliness. And a lack of social connection has been reported to carry the same mortality risk as fifteen cigarettes a day and is linked to higher rates of heart disease, stroke, dementia, anxiety and depression.

And I believe a key reason behind this epidemic of loneliness is our increasing connection to technology and our decreasing connection to ourselves. Because the truth is, you cannot meet someone else at a depth you haven’t yet met yourself.

That is what The Connection Table is here to help combat.

And what an incredible way to launch the concept at the final dinner of @innerandouterjourney_ ❤️

Second year back at the @innerandouterjourney_ in Cappadocia, and once again… no words that fully do it justice. ✨

One of my favourite parts of this retreat is the music, the celebrations, and the connection, old friends and new ones who feel like they’ve been in your life forever. Themed nights where we dressed as ethnic mosaic, the colours of the valley, a gala dinner under the theme of LOVE. Every night was its own activation.

I truly believe Turkey and Cappadocia especially is a portal. ✨ Not just for your own transformation, but for transformation through connection.

When a like-minded group of conscious people, healers and teachers come together in one place, it elevates everyone’s way of thinking and being.

This retreat has given me a family. And I came home, again, changed. 🤍
