Last night, Between Two Beers took home the Small Business Marketing Award at the 2026 Waikato Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

A pretty surreal moment for a podcast business to win an award like this, and there’s an even cooler story at play too.

Seamus and I met working at @pointb.nz in Hamilton, back when Between Two Beers was just getting started, and before I had ventured out on my own.

Having our old teammates sponsor the award and present it to us was a pretty full-circle moment!

Huge shout out to our team at @sapiens.nz who go above and beyond for the guys and have produced some some crazy results.

And to Steve and Seamus for being the best in the business at what they do, the quality content they are so focused on delivering makes our job easy.

Great time this morning at the Creativity for Wellbeing event in conjunction with the Get Active Challenge and DTI Lawyers!

Over the month of April, our Frank team clocked up 7,901,346 steps and contributed $419.23 towards an incredible cause.

Collectively, this year’s Get Active Challenge participants reached 47,777,358 steps and raised a huge $2,594.86 for @kidsinneedwaikato 🩵🧡

With Kids in Need Waikato now running their Winter Warmer Appeal, this support comes at an especially important time, helping them provide warm clothing and essential winter items for children and young people in foster, kinship, and grandparent care. Visit their page to find out how you can support them, too.

A fantastic result for the first month of the challenge, and a great start to 7 months of moving with purpose.

Yesterday marked the official launch of the Get Active Challenge and we couldn't have asked for a better start. Huge thanks to AIA Insurance and everyone who came along to support the launch.
