Dear Dancer…

… is a community storytelling project designed to support injured dancers through the voices of those who’ve been there before.

I’m creating a growing online collection of letters written by dancers who have experienced injury, setbacks, and the uncertainty of recovery. Each letter will begin with “Dear Dancer…” and will be published as an individual page with its own shareable link, creating a library of encouragement that dancers, teachers, healthcare professionals, and friends can return to and share whenever someone needs it.

Whether your injury happened years ago or you’re still dancing today, your experience matters. Your words might be exactly what another dancer needs to hear.

I see so many of you 1-1 and I’ll always do my best to support and reassure you but I’m not a psychologist, I cant always say the exact thing you need to hear. So this is my way of bringing you all together.

If you’d like to contribute, I’d love for you to write a letter beginning with “Dear Dancer…”

There are no rules. Share what you wish someone had told you. Share what you learned, what you struggled with, what helped you keep going, or what recovery taught you. Be honest. Be hopeful. Be real.

Together, let’s build a collection that reminds injured dancers they’re part of a community that understand (even though it’s not always talked about in the studio).

If you’d like to submit a letter, either anonymously or with your name on, send me a DM and I’ll give you all the details. Eventually I’ll have a submissions page set up on my website!

Because no dancer should have to navigate injury feeling like they’re alone.

Remember the Tie Dye collection? 👀

You made it one of our best sellers… and now it’s almost gone 💔

We’ve got just a handful of pieces left from The Sample Edit. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Shop online now or check your local dance shop — you might just get lucky ✨
