Tonight, Victory and I celebrated the successful conclusion of the Work in Culture + Brampton Arts Organization Mentorship Program, but I want to emphasize that this is just the beginning of our relationship!

I am incredibly grateful to both Work in Culture and the Brampton Arts Organization for the opportunity to mentor one of the talented members of the 2025-2026 cohorts. It is truly an honor to join this alumni community. Thanks to Tara Dorey @tara.dorey for the recommendation!!!

I am beyond proud of my mentee, Victory Anthony-Nted @victory_nted. She consistently arrived ready to learn, demonstrating enthusiasm and commitment every step of the way. Her achievements are a testament to her talent, dedication, and hard work, which made my role as a mentor not only rewarding but also effortless.

If you haven’t had the chance yet, please follow her: @victory_nted

I was initially captivated by Victory’s stunning visual and painterly representations of textiles, but I have since developed a profound admiration for her ability to weave compelling narratives through her portraiture work.

A heartfelt thank you once again to @workinculture.ca and @baobrampton for bringing us together!

Thank you to everyone who joined Queer Art Crawl’s 26th event this past weekend!!

✨The incredible Katika @candypress led a laneway focused route through Dundas West’s Trinity Bellwoods neighbourhood!

✨ We checked out pieces that were apart of the 2023 @kj.bit mural jam and saw how artist’s approached the theme of GLOW.

✨ We looked at a couple pieces that were funded by the Just Us program with @start_streetartoronto

✨ We looked at how artists from different backgrounds across the city painted work inspired by their cultures and identities.

✨Next month’s crawl will be led again by Katika and will take place May 17th from 2-4pm. Location tba. Thanks again for supporting @queerartcrawl
