I’ve been meaning to post about my races this year, have not had time 😂 a few years ago I decided on a literal whim to sign up for park city p2p, hadn’t trained (had ridden lots), had three weeks until the race and just signed up and went for it 🫠🤣 survived on mamba sticks, gushers, and pb sandwiches which gross, I almost died 🤣 I just wanted hit the finish line. The next year after I stumbled on the @pokyfallultra and decided why not. Let’s try both this year 😂 I did pretty well improving my time at p2p and was happy with my Pocatello time. Coming into this season the plan was beat my times for both races……. Which…… didn’t happen. P2P was a disaster. I’d gotten a stomach bug a week before, was behind on nutrition going into the race, bonked by mile 15, wanted to quit at mile 20. Somehow forced myself to make the finish. Hated the ride. Hated the day. Unfortunate. Because I love that race, but it was just a really rough day and my family couldn’t be there.

I showed up to Pocatello planning to just have a fun, long ride. Which I absolutely had. I also had to work hard to finish this race. Trails perfect, cool weather, fall colors going off. And then Around mile 40ish. Rain. And it kept on coming down. I could hardly see for a bit. The single track basically was a muddy slip in slide. I’d packed a dry jersey and long sleeve in my drop bag, it may have been the only way I finished. I was SO cold. Last bit of the race was tough. Wet sticky mud. Felt like extra watts I was putting out. Two crashes, my stupid Cleat got loose and kept getting twisted and stuck in my pedal. I was a little sad and frustrated coming into the finish line because my time was going to be slower than last year BUT I was trying to stay positive because my nutrition was dialed finally. And then I found out I got second place! Which was crazy and awesome. But even if I hadn’t won, the support and excitement would have been the same. I love this race. It’s freaking hard. But the people that run it are just good, awesome people. That make everyone feel awesome. And I swear know everyone. Thanks for a sweet day, Looking forward to next year! And thanks @cadenkaii for some sweet photos!

26’ PFU race reflection
I always think about this race long after it’s over:) Its hard not to. What an awesome day we had on the trails! The initial weather threat had me worried but overcoming that initial challenge set the tone for the whole day!

Standing at the finish line watching rider after rider roll in-muddy, caked in dirt, exhausted, and triumphant from overcoming- I felt extremely grateful! It reminded me why we pour our hearts into putting on this race year after year😁

To every single amazing competitor who lined up for the 2026 Pocatello Fall Ultra: Thank you!

MTB racing at all levels is sooo hard! Its more than just strong legs and bike handling; it tests the absolute limits of physical strength and mental focus. Over thousands of feet of brutal climbing, smile inducing descents and technical single-track, every one of you conquered burning muscles, mechanicals, doubt, and those dark moments of pure frustration when the trail refused to give an inch. Getting to see you fight through fatigue, and push past your limits is deeply fulfilling for our entire crew.

This race has always been and will always be—about people:) Long after the race is over and the bikes are put away, it’s the community, the shared struggles, and the lifelong human connections that define this event❤️ We will always put people and the racer experience at the absolute forefront of everything we do. We strive to make every racer feel supported from the moment you show up in Poky to the second you cross that finish and even if you don’t!

To those who set PRs, stood on podiums, those who conquered their very first race, and those who gave every ounce of effort out on the course but finishing wasn’t to be! We are grateful for and celebrate you👊

A massive thank you to our tireless volunteers, trail work crews, sponsors and the families and friends who cheered non-stop. Your energy is vital and kept your riders pushing.

What an amazing year we had at the 2026 Poky Fall Ultra! Thank you so much for coming! Keep being awesome, keep pushing, keep climbing and carry the positive momentum from this year’s race into your life! You earned every single mile!💪
See you in 2027!

Fully fall conditions at the Pocatello Fall Ultra race a couple weeks ago with cool temps, damp dirt, and tons of bright fall colors! Still some epic riding and good times even though the result wasn't what I hoped for 🚵

What a great day on the trails! 🚵🏼

Members and ambassadors of PVTA had the opportunity to volunteer at the Gibson Jack Aid Station for @pokyfallultra, cheering on riders as they pushed their limits and enjoyed the trails we’re lucky to call home.

We loved hearing how much riders enjoyed Poky trails! Their enthusiasm is a great reminder of how trails bring people together - from those who build and maintain them, to the volunteers who support events, to everyone who gets out there to explore and enjoy them.

A huge shoutout to @pokyfallultra and all of the volunteers and organizers who help make this event possible and contribute to maintaining trails along the race course and beyond. We’re grateful to be part of such a welcoming and dedicated trail community! 🙌🌿

Great photos and moments captured at the POCATELLO FALL ULTRA 2026

Friends, I can’t say enough positive things about this event. The trails are amazing but what seals the deal are the race directors, the volunteers, the community, and your fellow racers. The incredible energy is what makes it one not to miss. Put it on your calendar for next year; 20K, 60K, or 100K.

2026 @pokyfallultra 100k race didn't quite go as hoped for me this time around... Problems arose that forced me to make the call to pull out at mile 45 & 7,900 ft of elevation gain. Still quite a ride in awesome fall conditions and with a lot of awesome people! Shout-out to @scottris24 and @bishopbiker208 for what's always a great event 👊

@janb_sunny got to ride the Pocatello area for the first time the day before the race, and she's a fan of the amazing trails up there!

We were proud to sponsor the Pocatello Fall Ultra and support another great event right here in our community! 🚵‍♂️🏔️

Our support didn’t stop at sponsorship. Members of Team Lookout also volunteered their time to help make the mountain bike race a success.

We love opportunities that allow us to get involved, support our community, and Tread Fearlessly alongside the people and organizations that make Idaho such a great place to call home.

Congratulations to all of the riders, volunteers, and organizers who made this year’s Pocatello Fall Ultra a great one! 💙
