My heart is so full! I know I’ve said this many times, but one of my favorite things about this business has nothing to do with houses, it’s the humans. 💙 Over the years, I’ve built relationships with some of the most incredible @sothebysrealty agents across the country and around the world. There’s networking, and then there’s the art of actually connecting. And I’ve learned that sometimes the most meaningful relationships begin when you simply give people the opportunity to sit down, break bread and get to know one another. During GNE in San Francisco, we brought together 50 Sotheby’s International Realty agents from around the world for The Art of Connection, a private dining experience thoughtfully designed around that very idea. Five round tables, ten people each, and one little challenge I gave everyone: sit beside someone you don’t already know well. No quick introductions before moving on to the next conversation. No standing around wondering where you fit in. Just an evening to slow down, share stories, discover unexpected common ground and genuinely enjoy the people sitting across from you. I’ve hosted dinners like this in different capacities over the years, and I’ve watched strangers become dear friends, new business relationships develop and connections grow into something far more meaningful than anyone expected when they first sat down. That’s the part I love most. You never really know what might come from one conversation, or how much someone might enrich your life simply because you took the time to get to know them. I’m grateful to Hugh, Club 40 and everyone who helped bring this beautiful evening together, and especially to the people who showed up willing to connect, share a little of themselves and make the experience what it became. I look forward to seeing where these relationships go and to creating more opportunities for this community to come together.
