Into the Buddha Lounge..
A quick tour of the Buddha Lounge in Walton On Thames,Surrey. The room@was a fully bespoke design and features a separate area for indoor undercover snug and daybed area, behind this was a separate enclosed storage area with external door leading to back of the garden for extra storage area and access.
The room was clad in Canadian premium redwood cedar and complimented with 4 leaf bifold doors with a single transit door.

Believing in the power of nature to transform the soul and regenerate the mind, our garden rooms are designed with the essence of a home in the heart.

We are relentless seekers of the uncommon, with a passion for design that inspires our everyday life.

Persistently chasing what makes a room soulful, our rooms are sanctuary’s, to get lost and to be found, to disconnect and to reconnect with nature and those present with us.

Switching minds from our usual fast living pace, allowing mini rituals to take place, appreciating just the process instead, will permit wonderful memories to be created.

Having lived worked and relaxed in our own rooms and having worked with many clients we fully understand how nature offers a soothing touch to the soul, making you feel relaxed and uplifted and at peace, a place in the garden away from your main home and connected by nature is also good for your mental wellbeing.

We carry no memories rushing through life.

I can't tell you how delighted I was to hear the deep rumbling of thunder in the distance this afternoon. That rumbling that announces the arrival of rain.
I stopped work and just listened to the rain hitting the scorched earth.
I then inhaled that wonderful smell that accompanies the rain after a long heatwave - apparently it's called petrichor - it should be called bliss after the oppressive heat of the last few weeks!

So now I'm fully stranded in the Garden room, time to put the laptop down knowing I’m fully protected under the canopy and with the Bifold doors open.. there’s nothing better than fully immersing yourself in the garden just listening to the rain and the thunder roaring...

Did you know that the heady and earthy smell that occurs just before the rain is called Petrichor it derives from the Greek Petra - meaning stone - and ichor - which refers to the golden fluid which runs through the veins of the immortals in Greek mythology.....a wee bit of trivia for you there.
