This collab started with my good friend @mrjoehahn of @linkinpark. We’ve known each other for a long time, and we’d always talked about making something together. He had the idea to create a jiu jitsu gi inspired by the band. Our first idea was to build it around their iconic soldier dragonfly design. But as we kept working, we went in a different direction. We landed on something inspired by the classic green bomber jacket, complete with the signature orange interior.

From there, I sat down and drew a ton of patches, each one its own little piece of the story. I also brought in designs from Linkin Park’s Phantom Label to tie everything back to the band. There are fun details hidden all throughout this gi.

@jeff.pontis and the @pontis.co team then went to work to execute the ideas into physical form.

To everyone who picked one up, thank you. This one means a lot and I can’t wait to see it out on the mats.

A @linkinpark x Jiu Jitsu collab??!! SO COOL! Went to the opening of their pop-up in LA @complexshop with a ton of exclusive merch including this amazing gi that @pontis.co and @mrjasperwong collabed on! The pop-up is open until Oct 4 and you can get pre-orders in online for the gi after that! It’s 🔥🔥🔥

They also have all their tour posters displayed and some for purchase (I bought the Pittsburgh one, home town represent!) and I’ve got my eyes on this holographic one at the end to add to my holo poster collection.

The night before we went and trained @ludus and got to see @jeff.pontis with the gi in action. You’ll see me with mine on the mats soon 😜 just got it!

Congrats @m_shinoda and the rest of LP on such an awesome tour, can’t wait to see the film and catch another show on the next one! 🙏🏻
