New to me Korean restaurant in downtown Montreal that hits the spot for meat lovers

📍Pony (1608 Sainte-Catherine St. West)
$30-40 per person
Unlimited side dishes, meats are à la carte, service on the slow side but overall a solid Korean bbq spot

Another smashing hit for restauranteur Hanhak Kim with partner: the legendary @davidmcmillanmtl

Newly minted @hanasteakhouse gives us all more reasons to get bundled up and head out into our glorious Old Montreal & soak up the beauty of a new opening.

Hidden & tucked inside a gargantuan sized building on the East side of Le Moyne, you are then awe struck by the cozy intimate feel - a signature mark for designer @zebulonperron ✨

I was anticipating an upscale version of his other Korean jewel @pony.bbq and pleasantly surprised to see it is its own category of greatness. I love to feel transported when I am out dining and devouring at the bar will feel like you are anywhere in the world. Chef Wongoo Jean leads the charge with many temptations on the menu. Tables are stunning and sleek-inviting conversations with others tucked behind you!
Last night was super soft opening with a hard packed crew of industry titans lending their support and tummies!

Incredible to see the love all around -the room was humming with familiar faces.
Chefs, owners & their families gathered and enjoyed sumptuous Korean bbq with exquisite Japanese downdraft grills set atop the table!

I enjoyed dinner at the bar and was pleasantly met with a “would you like to try this?” from the person seated next to me. I mean this was the vibe folks. Eating off plates of others!!!
All anyone can ask for: community coming together to enjoy, gather and share.

Can’t wait to return for more. ♥️
Congrats to the team ✨🍾🥂
