I met some amazing new balloon buddies and reconnected with some old ones. I had an amazing time @guildcon26, hosted by @theballoonguild @johnathon_gerber_cba and @johnathanfudge

Thanks for the teaching and amazing opportunity ti be in the room of like-minded individuals.

It’s not all sunshine and rainbows…”

Us: 🌈☀️✨

Because this week? It literally was.

We threw the dreamiest alicorn birthday for the sweetest 5-year-old who lives for ALL the rainbows — and the magic was REAL. 💛

Thank you @popfettipdx for bringing the sunshine and the rainbows 🌈, Aaliyah for the themed party favors, and Angela for the cookie cake of dreams 🍪

Every party at Play & Ponder is one of a kind… but this one? Pure magic. ✨

We came out of this with ONE solid skill — our party garland — and trust us, we’ll be practicing it. 🎈 But mostly we walked away humbled by how much Rachel from @popfetti_pdx just knows. The way she reads color, balances shape, builds a whole composition out of thin air… that’s not a trick, that’s an art.

What made it even more special was how openly she shared it all — no gatekeeping, just genuine warmth and a real willingness to teach. Thank you Rachel for handing us even a little piece of what you know. We’ve got a lot to practice — and so much respect for the craft. 💛

🎈 Happy Birthday to the one and only Rachel of @popfettipdx! 🎈
Real talk: our parties have not been the same since we met Rachel. They’ve leveled up in every way — what used to be “nice balloons” became jaw-dropping, photo-stopping, “wait, how did she DO that?!” moments. ✨
Swipe through 👉 a towering balloon cake, a life-sized poodle, a star arch, a butterfly mosaic, a turkey (!), and theme after theme brought to life in our party room — mermaid, Frozen, Minnie, Valentine’s. Some of her installs make us genuinely wonder how ONE person can be this amazing. 🤯🎨
But here’s what we’ll remember most: today, in that torrential June rain, Rachel literally saved us. 🌧️ That’s who she is — someone who shows up for her community without a second thought. Not just an incredible artist, but a true friend we are so grateful for. 💛
If you’re not following @popfettipdx yet, fix that today. Your next party (and you) will thank you. 🎉
Happy Birthday from all of us at Play & Ponder — we 🩷 you, Rachel! @popfettipdx 🎂🥳
