Delaware leaders gathered at the Road to the Linc fundraiser to support Delaware State University Football.

@WeBackOutsideDSU raised $7,500, and Docklands (@docklands_riverfront) added a donation of $2,500, bringing the total raised to $10,000 in 10 days. The event helped build excitement for the Hornets’ upcoming game at Lincoln Financial Field.

At 8 years old, I held my first camera and never looked back. Whether I was creating my own reality TV shows, making little movies, forcing my family to take pictures, or capturing nature through a lens, storytelling has always lived inside of me. Even then, I knew I wanted to create worlds people could escape into.

Over these last four years at Delaware State University, I found more than just experience , I found purpose. I discovered my passion for directing through broadcast and sports media, and if I had never been pushed into those directing roles, I honestly don’t think I would have realized how deeply I loved it.

Whether it’s directing sports games, news broadcasts, or one day directing my very own films, I know this is what I am meant to do. Being behind the scenes, calling shots, building stories visually, and bringing productions to life showed me exactly where I belong.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me, believed in me, collaborated with me, encouraged me, or simply watched me grow throughout this journey. Every opportunity, every lesson, every challenge, and every accomplishment helped shape the creative, leader, and storyteller I am becoming today.

This is only the beginning.

Stepping into a sisterhood that I longed for my entire life will forever be an emotional moment for me. Knowing that I now have shoulders to cry on, women to rely on, endless support, unconditional love, and a lifetime of memories means more to me than words could ever explain.

To my mom, From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for instilling in me what it truly means to be a Delta woman: to pursue the highest education, serve all communities, pour love and support into others, and lead by example. Not only are you my mother, but you are also my sister. There would be no DSTiny fulfilled without Destiny.

To my big sisters, Thank you for inspiring me daily and guiding me to always be the best version of myself in everything I do. I love each and every one of you so deeply, and I can never thank you enough for being such a constant source of love, wisdom, and support throughout my journey. The bond we share is something I will never take for granted. It’s genuine, it’s unbreakable, and it’s forever. I’m beyond grateful to walk through life with women as special as you all by my side.

To U.C., Words could never fully capture how much you all mean to me. I truly couldn’t have asked for better women to walk beside on this journey. Through every laugh, every challenge, every late night, and every unforgettable memory, you all became so much more than just line sisters to me ,you became family.
Thank you for being such a constant light throughout my college experience and for pouring so much love, encouragement, and joy into my life. I thank God every day for placing each of you in my path because my journey would not have been the same without you all beside me.

This sisterhood is something I prayed for, longed for, and now cherish with my whole heart. The memories we created together will stay with me forever, and knowing that this bond continues far beyond college is something I’ll always be grateful for.

This is Mass Comm. 226… Or as I prefer to call it, How to Get Away with Digital Media. 🎬

As soon as I stepped on campus, I knew exactly where I belonged and immediately fell in love with the ETV. Knowing that this building would be my home for the next four years made me certain that my major was the right decision for me. Learning the foundations of digital media was one thing, but truly finding your passion for it while operating the equipment brings out a whole new level of creativity. From anchoring, directing, producing, editing, and working behind the camera, I discovered my love for storytelling and visual production.

To my Mass Comm family: The many burnt-out nights, endless script writing, nerves before interviews, and hours of editing were all worth going through with you over these last four years. Knowing that I have a community of creatives to lean on for a lifetime is something I will always hold close to my heart.

To my DESU-TV family: Without this organization, I wouldn’t have discovered the passion I now hope to pursue for the rest of my life. Being surrounded by people who understand your creativity is such a rewarding feeling. I am forever grateful for the inspirations before me who motivated me to continue creating, teaching, inspiring, innovating, and pushing myself creatively every day.
