Part 2. More Great Days Club and, yes, a great day! I get giddy and excited when I have something for me, to look forward to - don't we all?

I'd been looking forward to my Saturday adventure for months. The email invitation to brunch said there were a limited number of spaces, and kindly asked to only book if you were confident you'd be able to attend... Abso-bleepin-lutely, I'd be there. Compelled. Connected. Whatever way I looked at it, it was a choice to be there. My intention. My joy. Built on the very foundations of MGDC, it had glimmers and great day energy written allll over it.

And woahh it delivered.

"When I'm inspired, I feel I can move mountains, overcome fears and follow my dreams. I feel a surge of energy that speaks to the very essence of who I am. I [now] call this my fierce" -
Excerpt from 'Fears to FierceBrita' by Fernandez Schmidt.

There are so many quotes and excerpts I could share from this book. I have no doubt this 'blind book' found me, all-to serendipitously!!

The opportunity to be in the room also allowed me to meet one of my invisible mentors in person - the very lovely @sophiecliff (and her equally lovely sidekick, @postcardsfromkatie_ .) I've followed, read one of her books and listened to Sophie's podcast long before joining the aforementioned membership. Now, well she's less of an invisible mentor because we got to connect and chat so much more than I had anticipated.

Meeting new people, journaling, conversations, smiles and the words of inspiration and encouragement. I loveeed how easily the day flowed.

Coffee, books - how incredible is @holdfastleeds a book shop in a canal boat?! Just, wow! Creative surroundings. To say I was in my element is an understatement.

With courageous curiosity I set out on a day trip adventure. Why? Because I could, because I wanted to. At least, some of the time, this intentional meandering and musing is exactly what fills my cup.

Write Junction post it note:
1. If you haven't heard of The Joyful Coach aka Sophie Cliff, you might find her beyond helpful .
2. If you loveee books, quirky and curiously interesting concepts, you will absolutely adore Hold Fast - The bookshop on the canal.

Earlier this week I went to the @beingfreelance Q3 check-in, where we each shared three words to sum up the past three months. Mine were ‘could be better’.

And they could have been. The summer holidays, my husband changing career and my studies all landed in the same few months, so life looks different from this time last year.

I’ve felt a bit anxious that I’m not working the way I used to. Maybe I’ve changed. Maybe my business has changed. The world certainly has. And maybe I want to do some things differently. I’m quick to fixate on what didn’t go to plan and how I’d make it easier next time.

So I went back through my camera roll for September, and it tells a different story: a day developing a podcast strategy with @sophiecliff, a trip to Newcastle with @mmhalliance, a Costa date, some cracking school hairstyles and a daughter who turned into a butterfly.

Swipe through for the September highlights. What would your three words be?

To most people a similar age to me, Ayia Napa invokes thoughts of a buzzing and chaotic nightlife as, for years, this Cypriot town was adopted by the UK Garage scene as a party captial.

I’ve visited Cyprus quite a few times in the past few years and never made it this far east. I’ll admit, I had the same preconceptions of Ayia Napa and the surrounding area, but spend a few days here, and this area has a very different side beyond the nightclub queues.

Here’s a few highlights of what I got up to during 4 nights/4 days in Ayia Napa, Larnaca and Protaras:

🗿 Ayia Napa Sculpture Park, where you’ll find a large collection of pieces by over 50 artists from around the world, spread across 20,000 square metres
🏝️ A bougie lunch at Riva Beach House by Frame, a beach club by Ayia Napa Marina
🌅 ‘Golden hour’ at the Love Bridge
🌲 Exploring Cape Greko National Forest Park: Agioi Anargiroi, Fig Tree Bay, Agioi Saranta, Cyclops Cave, and Nissia Neolithic Settlement
🏰 Exploring Larnaca, from Finikoudes Promenade to Larnaca’s Medieval Castle & St Lazarus Church
🍹 Making Cyprus’ iconic drink, the Brandy Sour, in a cocktail making master class at @sunmooncy
🚤 A sundrenched boat tour along the coast to Konnos Bay and the Blue Lagoon
