I've done several Intertribal weddings and I don't see the process being rushed and none of their process is being skipped, so why do we yorubas place lesser priority on our own culture. To our dear Planners, couples and parents, Please let's understand that there are processes for a Yoruba traditional wedding just the same way have it for reception. I've never seen a reception or after party being rushed, it's always the traditional wedding. You paid a professional so you could have a detailed cultural proceeding so please give us time to deliver. Like I said there can be excesses, that's why getting a professional who wouldn't turn your event to a fund raising activity is very important. Being hired for an event doesn’t mean you own the content or its timeline. Sometimes, the event owner is simply not ready to share. Please don’t post anything before their official contents are out Capture the moment, but respect the owner’s timeline. Seek permission, show professionalism, and remember that collaboration is not competition. You were hired to capture their moments, not take over their content. Before I put out any event video I make sure either the client or the planner has posted and I have the clients permission to post. We have a lot of premium jobs that didn't even make it to the social media because clients said NO and we chose to respect their privacy.
