Eastwood Village is the perfect place to spend the afternoon, between buying ten zillion books from us, some plants from Desert & Vine, lunch at Yellow Table, dessert at Cone•cept (they have a pumpkin pie latte soft serve rn!), checking out the queer art hang at Karst Studio 4-6, and ending with Butterlamp pouring you the wine to drown your sorrows if you don't win the costume contest...can u even imagine a better Sunday? I couldn't if I tried...that being said, I have a VERY limited imagination!

See you Sunday yay

The latest Sweetheart Orchard flavor is inspired by an apple cheesecake. Those roasted tart apples work so well with the classic cinnamon roll spices. Creamy homemade vanilla cheesecake and brown butter cream cheese frosting 😮‍💨🔥 Last but not least an @unclenearest salted caramel drizzled over the top

Our next pop-up will be at WE Fest 2026 on October 24th from 10-4pm and Sunday, October 25th at Potluck Teahouse 11-3pm 💚

Hi friends,

I can’t believe we’re already fully into fall. How was your summer?

I had a lovely visit to Spain and came back to Nashville in August, right in the middle of vacation season there — a little rough! The engines are definitely on again.

Since then, I’ve taken part in a couple of group exhibitions, which I’ll share soon. But first, a look back at one of my most substantial projects this year, ANEW: Elementary & Secondary Practice, my first solo exhibition with public programming, which unfolded over three days:

Day 1 brought together art, music, and movement in a live performance connecting the work, the body, sound, and space.

Day 2 invited the public into the process through a painting workshop I led and live poetry with Jazz Lucas.

Day 3 closed with artist conversations in English with poet Jazz Lucas and in Spanish with photographer Ashley Holstein, followed by questions from the audience.

The heart of the project was:
(1) to bring together a body of work that began in Valencia in 2020 and has continued across materials and forms: paper, painting, ceramics, wood, texture, repetition, gesture, and structure;
(2) to invite other artists into a dialogue across disciplines and offer programming in English and Spanish — crossing barriers of language and culture so different communities could connect with the work and feel part of the conversation.

I wanted to share some moments from my perspective. I know the three-day pop-up format meant some friends couldn’t visit, so I hope this carousel brings a little of the experience to you. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who helped make it possible. I’ll share a more specific thank-you soon.

This post is dedicated to my dear friend and incredibly talented artist Enrique Zabala, who passed away this summer. He was a mentor during my first steps into the art world, believing in me before I could fully imagine a life as an artist. His work continued to inspire me, and he remained a guiding influence throughout the years, never losing faith in me. I carry his encouragement as I continue moving forward.
Thank you, Enrique. ❤️

Had an absolute blast teaching these lovely ladies to paint, carve, and wax their way to plate perfection this weekend! I’m so proud of how their pieces turned out and can’t wait to see them fired in a few weeks! Keep an eye on Potluck’s calendar for next month’s class offering (spoiler alert: we’re stepping up your holiday decor game) ✨

September.

a month that somehow carries both summer & fall.
in the last 30 days I/we have,
connected with our friends.
walked a lot.
drank unfathomable amounts of hojicha.
enjoyed the sunshine.
started practicing yoga (love & cannot recommend enough finding ways to move your body that you enjoy)
decluttered our home.
looked for beauty in the ordinary.
read 7 books.
meditated most mornings.
booked a vacation!!!
made big personal changes and made myself proud.
played 100 (give or take) rounds of cards/gin.
styled my bangs twice…. shoutout headbands!

weather app says the high is 89° today, so October, feel free to cool things down!
