As we prepare for our platform launch, I am proud to announce Creative Conversations, PowerTalk's inaugural speaker series designed with creatives in mind. These candid discussions take you behind the scenes, providing insider insights from across the entertainment industry. The Creative Conversations series features celebrity talent, as well as noted industry leaders in disciplines like talent management and agency representation, production, law, and business. Join the conversation and gain a deeper understanding of the industry to enhance your creative experience.

Our first conversation, MGMT: 101, explores the basics of talent management and representation, features E. Brian Dobbins, who is the Co-President of Artists First, a leading Los Angeles based talent management company. Among others, Brian manages acclaimed artists, Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Kenya Barris.
His producing credits include Fox’s TV series "Do Not Disturb," the Oxygen cable network series "Campus Ladies," ABC and 20th Century Fox's TV pilot "Adopted." Dobbins currently serves as an Executive Producer on the critically-acclaimed ABC series BLACK-ISH, created by his clients Kenya Barris, that also stars Tracee Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson. Most recently, BLACK-ISH took home five awards at the NAACP Image Awards. BLACK-ISH and clients Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross were each nominated for Golden Globes over the past two years; Tracee Ellis Ross won the Golden Globe in 2017 for her performance on the show. Dobbins is also an executive producer of the BLACK-ISH spinoff GROWN-ISH on Freeform.

The conversation will be moderated by Atlanta’s own, Sherri Daye Scott, @sheltonskid Sherri has done a bit of it all: Through her media company, Everybody Eats Media Productions, Scott is currently developing in partnership with L.A.-based non-profit Film Independent, SEASON OF THE WITCHES, a feature-length social thriller set in Puerto Rico.
I hope that you will join us! It will be an evocative conversation! And a dream come true.
