Over the years, I’ve REALLY learned the importance of having a healthy community.

A community that challenges you, checks you, and covers you. Heavy on all three.

Why? Because I’ve had “friends” who questioned my surrender and looked down on my “yes” to God. And I’ve had friends who won’t let me live any other way than surrendered and fully in the will of God.

And I will always choose the latter. I’d rather have one or two who push me toward purpose than five who pull me away from what God desires for me.

Ask yourself:
Does your community lead you into surrender, or do they pull you out of alignment with God’s heart for you?

The people at your table matter. And the kind of friend you are to others matters too.

Surrender doesn’t have to be a lonely road. With the right people, it becomes a collective surrender with one aim and one goal—to please the Father.

Tag or share with someone who challenges you, checks you, and covers you. Let them know they matter. 💛

From survival to Blooming - Selah Series Episode 1 with @pppsalm

Some of us didn’t grow up with safety.

Some of us come from women who had to survive things they never should’ve faced.

Some of us are the first in our bloodline to breathe without fear—and even that feels foreign sometimes.

If you’ve ever been stuck in survival mode so long that stillness feels uncomfortable…

If you’ve ever held generational pain in your body without even realizing it (relax your shoulders and unclench your jaw, sis)…

If you’ve ever questioned whether joy like this could really be yours—

Psalm’s story will hold you close.

Because this is what it looks like when the seed of faith planted generations ago begins to bloom in you.

A family disowned, but not discarded.
A girl who found God through community.

A mother now raising her child in peace she never thought she’d experience.

You don’t have to perform to heal.
You don’t have to rush to belong.
You just have to exhale.

So let’s talk, sis—where have you just been surviving?

Take a moment to pause. Reflect.

And if this stirred something in you, there’s more space for stories like this—and space for you—at BLOOM.

Let’s exhale together. 💐 Link in bio.

@pppsalm, thank you for sharing your story with us 🥹

SELAH: the Docu-Series
Real women. Real stories. Every Wednesday.

Because healing doesn’t always happen on a stage.
Sometimes it starts in whispered prayers…
in survival mode…
in silent car rides, journal pages, deep exhales, and second chances.

This summer, we’re sharing 9 stories from BLOOM sisters who chose to pause, reflect, and surrender.

Stories like:
– “I came from survival mode…”
– “I’m laying down the pride I didn’t know I was carrying…”
– “I realized what could be on the other side of shame and forgiveness”

Stories just like yours, and just like mine.

These aren’t just testimonies.
They’re invitations.

🫶🏾 To remember you’re not the only one.
🫶🏾 To feel seen in the middle of your process.
🫶🏾 To take your own Selah moment.

Let’s take a collective exhale

Today was a breath of fresh air, exactly what my soul needed. 🥹

🌻 As a visionary, you do your best to carry out the vision God places in your heart. You may not always know how it will turn out, but you trust His voice and let Him guide your steps.

👉🏾Over the years, I’ve learned that BLOOM isn’t just about the women who are in the room, it’s also about the women who aren’t.

It’s about delivering a message for the time and the season, one that transcends a single weekend.

It’s the conversations that happen before the gathering.

It’s the quiet moments of surrender.

It’s the invitation to breathe, deeply and intentionally.

🌻Today, I sat with a group of women and we talked about Exhale, what it means to breathe in everyday life, and it was truly beautiful.

I don’t quite have the words yet, But here’s what I do know:

1. This call to surrender and Exhhale is holy. It’s beautiful. It’s sacred.

2.There’s something supernatural on BLOOM this year😮‍💨.

3. I can’t wait to share this project with you soon🥹

To the women who sat with me today, thank you. Your voice, your story, your presence… it will bless so many.
