#50milertraining in full effect! Thanks @pr413 for getting me motivated. I think this is an ok base to start with. I don’t even need to tell you that @tailwindnutrition is getting me where I need to be fuel wise. Pumped to push it this winter. Also thanks @allenstone your new album is my go to music for my long runs. The “Inaugural FitPro Grand Canyon: Rim to River” was a SMASH! 🤩 I am immensely and indescribably proud of our group of 14 participants. They all successfully executed the challenging 19+ mi hike including over 10k feet of elevation loss and gain, through this revered Wonder of the World. Ironically, I probably felt the worst of the whole group but I’d do it all over again just the same, if only to see how proud they all were of themselves in completing this life-changing quest. One of my favorite things about the Canyon is that it works its magic on so many disparate walks of life and goals and fitness levels: some came here to challenge themselves mentally or physically; some came to soak in the extraordinary beauty of this sacred ground; some came as a moving meditation through and evolution from painful experiences; and some came searching for, and confirming, their own resilience and sense of self under difficult conditions. I am very, very proud, both as a trainer and friend, of everyone in this group for what they achieved this weekend. May you all build on this experience and continue to find your own power through fitness of all varieties. 💪🏻🏜

🏜Come one, come all, for this epic Grand Canyon adventure with FitPro and Co.! I am organizing a group of all fitness levels for a Rim to River (18mi) run/hike at the end of September this year, !! for as low as $50 per person !! For many, this could be an adventure of a lifetime through one of the Wonders of the World. Interested? Read on for more details... -----
✅DATES/TIMES: either Friday 9/27 or Friday 10/4. Will leave this open to the popular vote of the group. We will drive up to the Canyon on the Thursday (one day) before the hike to stay in a hotel nearby. We will start the hike around sunrise (~6:00am), and aim to finish around sunset (~6:00pm), of course with some people going faster and slower than that pace. We will stay in the same hotel on Friday night, and return to Phoenix on Saturday. So if you're flying in, I'd recommend that on Thursday daytime at the latest.
-----
✅ABOUT THE HIKE: Rim to River (via the Bright Angel Trail) will be 9mi down, 9mi up. Plan for this to take 8-12hr, depending on speed. We will have !! ALL SKILL LEVELS !! meaning some people will run a lot of this, while others will slow walk the whole thing. No pressure for time, just have fun and enjoy the ride! -----
✅PRICES:
1️⃣Option A = "Meet at the Canyon" for $50/person. Includes day-of support, basic recommendations for equipment, supplementation, nutrition, and hydration.
2️⃣ Option B = "Programming" for $200/person. Includes Option A above, and also 3mo of daily programming on how exactly to train for something like this. Also includes 2x "adjustments" to each person's program, depending on progress, injury, etc. -----
⏳SIGN UP BY SAT 7/20! I'm looking to solidify commitments soon so that we can all start planning for travel/hotels, training, etc.! Feel free to comment questions here, or message me at tkn@fitprollc.com. LET'S DO THIS!
