I am still filled with joy and gratitude from an incredibly beautiful two weeks. Thank you to everyone who came to St Stephen’s, Gloucester Road to see The Painted Word exhibition.

It was an unforgettable experience, seeing these 20 large paintings, on which I worked over a period of almost two year, in this special place, where TS Eliot himself was churchwarden for 25 years. Truly, an unforgettable experience.

The highlight was of course the reading of Burnt Norton and Little Gidding by AN Wilson, accompanied by music which was brilliantly chosen by @charlottespruit , and played by four incredible musicians, Charlotte Spruit, @catherinaleeviolin , Adam Newman and @cellohuber !

Special thanks to Father Philip Barnes for generously welcoming me and my art in his church!

Thank you to Old Possums Practical Trust, the John Booth Charitable Foundation and Louise Kaye for funding the exhibition and this special event!

And of course thank you to my awesome ever supportive family @gesinequeyras @queyrasjg @yolenequeyras and @tonioqueyras !

Thank you to everyone who made this exhibition possible by helping me and generously giving their time and helping me set up the paintings:

“We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
Through the unknown, unremembered gate
When the last of earth left to discover
Is that which was the beginning;”

“The dove descending breaks the air
With flame of incandescent terror
Of which the tongues declare
The one discharge from sin and error.
The only hope, or else despair
Lies in the choice of pyre or pyre –
To be redeemed from fire by fire.”

“Whatever we inherit from the fortunate
We have taken from the defeated
What they had to leave us – a symbol:
A symbol perfected in death.
And all shall be well and
All manner of thing shall be well
By the purification of the motive
In the ground of our beseeching.”

And faded on the blowing of the horn.”

“If you came this way,
Taking any route, starting from anywhere,
At any time or at any season,
It would always be the same: you would have to put off
Sense and notion. You are not here to verify,
Instruct yourself, or inform curiosity
Or carry report. You are here to kneel”

Of spheres of existence is actual,
Here the past and future
Are conquered, and reconciled,
