2026 NM Sectional was a great time with great people!! Just returning from IPSC Nationals on Monday and then immediately heading to Alamogordo to help set up the match all week, had me pretty tired.
Here’s my match (including stage 12). Shot staff match on Thur/Fri and began on stage 1. Had a slow start but picked up the pace as the days progressed. Shooting 2 days before the actual competitors shot had me wondering if I’d made some of the best decisions on a couple of stage plans. Working as RO on stage 1 all weekend too, I was able to see much better plan execution of many competitors. However, 6 stage wins (would have been 7 with stage 12 and the overall LO win) tells me I did pretty ok.

Always a good time shooting the @precisionpointfrederick match. 4 stages in an hour is a blast. Decided to see what all the hype was about with this outside the waistband thing 🤣 The new @howitzerclothing x @spectrain_performance BattleComp belt was a breeze to setup. Used @spectrain_performance prototype magnet pouches and my @tier1concealed MSP OWB holster to round out the setup and it worked flawlessly. Match went ok. Got lazy on a couple partials on stage three. It was enough to pull out the overall and LO senior win though. lol. As usual, I dedicate all my senior category wins to @practical_performance_ @point_1_tactics @bucklawler 😂😂😂😂

I can’t even put into words what I’m feeling right now. 16 long years of hunting one of these down. Many years of just falling 1 or 2 places short. 16 years of “well, I guess there’s always next year”.

I’ve always said, “man, if I could just win ONE. Just one…

One finally came…this weekend.

National Champion.

Sounds weird to even say. Maybe it’ll feel more real tomorrow. For now, thank you to every single one of you for your support, friendship, and congratulations wishes! It means the world to me!
