Food is the Panacea of Life‼️
Real food, Clean food, Whole foods…
Are made without preservatives, additives or chemicals…
Are made so Every Body can eat them,
so Every Body can enjoy them,
so Every Body can afford them.
I have a dream that one day every man, woman and child can be free to have any food without fear of fat, sugar or carbohydrates.
To live a life free from blame, shame or guilt. Free from reactions that can lead to death and suffering. To be able not to need to read the small print, allergens or ingredients. Free to pick anything from a menu, from to enjoy a diet that is taken for granted, a normal lifestyle, to be sure that life will go forward happily ever after. I can only dream 💭

Do you know this connection between your gut and your brain???🧠🧠🧠

This is one I've experienced first hand so many times.😥

Having uclerative colitis, if I'm experiencing a flare up🔥🔥🔥or digestive issues...

Then I get brain fog🌫... and it doesn't 🛑stop there, I start to be unmotivated and often times depressed...🙁and it's hard to get it out of the cycle.

But when my gut starts to heal, these symptoms start to slowly go away.🤗

I will be sharing ways I've healed my gut this month!😉

Looking forward to sharing with you, my gut journey. 🤩

Aside from folate, you will also want to consume other B-vitamins such as vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) and vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) as they are helpful in converting folate into the active form of folate.

You can increase your vitamin B2 intake by choosing the following food sources.

This Creamy Healthy Mushroom Soup has no cream, but still brings a sense of comfort and coziness.

Mushrooms have a beautiful earthy flavour that makes them stand out from anything else, paired with loads of fresh thyme, basil, creamy coconut milk, and garlic.

Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, chopped
2 teaspoon garlic, crushed
2 tablespoon fresh thyme
1 teaspoon fresh basil
1 pack white button mushrooms
2 pack brown mushrooms
1 pack mixed exotic mushrooms (optional, use normal white mushrooms if you prefer)
2 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
1 can coconut milk
½ cup of gut healing bone broth, optional
Himalayan salt and pepper to taste
Pinch of dried chili flakes, optional
Fresh herbs of your choice to garnish

Instructions
Tip: Place mushrooms in sunlight gill side up for 1 hour to absorb Vitamin D prior to cooking.

Add the olive oil to a pot with the onion and garlic, fresh thyme and basil and sauté briefly.

Then add the sliced mushrooms and the soy sauce, and cover the pot. Cook on medium high, covered, for around 10 minutes.

This will allow the mushrooms to release their water.
After 10 minutes, remove the lid, and cook for a further 10 minutes uncovered to allow some of the water to cook off.

Then add the coconut milk and broth, and cook for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, allowing the flavors to blend properly.

Add sea salt, black pepper, chili flakes to taste.

Use a stick blender to blitz until smooth or leave as is, for a chunky soup

Garnish with fresh herbs and serve.

@kim.ajw and I are Gluten Free Girls 🙅‍♀️
.
.
.
One of the first things I hear from people when they discover they are celiac or gluten sensitive is “What?! NO CAKE?!” I’m doing to DIE! Don’t worry, the Persians have it and the team over @pranathrive have a perfect recipe! 👩‍🍳 For the Filling:
1 orange 🍊
3 large eggs, free range
1 cup almond milk
2/3 cup raw honey
2 tsp rose water
1 cup ground pistachios
1 cups almond flour
1 cup cassava flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder, gluten-free
1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Topping 👚
1 orange, zested
½ cup juice from remaining halved fruits
3 tbsp raw honey 📖 Instructions
Rinse the orange and place them in a pot. Cover with water and simmer on low heat for 1 hour.
Once soft, remove the orange from the pot and place in a blender. Blend for until the oranges have formed a puree.
To make the ground pistachios place them in a coffee grinder or food processor and grind until there are no chunky pieces and everything has ground down to a fine powder.
Preheat oven to 180C/375F. Grease an 8-inch loose bottom cake pan
In a bowl combine the orange puree, eggs, honey, ground pistachios, almond flour, cassava flour, vanilla extract, and baking soda. Pour into the greased cake pan
Bake for 1 hour. If the top begins to brown too quickly, cover with tinfoil. The cake will be done once a cake inserted into the top comes out clean.
While the cake is baking, in a small pot combine 1/2 cup citrus juice with 3 tbsp honey and allow to reach the boiling point before reducing the heat to simmer. Allow simmering until the amount of liquid has reduced by approximately half. Remove from the heat and set aside until the cake has come out of the oven.
Once the cake is out of the oven, brush the orange and honey mixture over the entire surface. Run a knife around the edges of the pan to loosen before unclasping the outer ring.
.
.
I love serving it with a little Greek yoghurt or coconut yoghurt for a dairy free option. It freezes well - If it lasts that long around your house! #foodgasm .
